Job summary

Scarborough House is a small, independent residential care home caring for sixteen residents in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea. We are looking for a warm, reliable and conscientious Care Assistant to join our close-knit team on a part-time or bank staff basis.

Part-time positions offer regular contracted hours of less than full-time. Bank staff are invited to pick up shifts as and when available, providing cover for sickness and holidays. Both arrangements offer genuine flexibility around your existing commitments.

The role involves: Assisting residents with personal care, helping with mealtimes, medication administration, supporting daily activities, and contributing to a warm and homely environment where every resident is treated with dignity and respect.

What we are looking for: We are not looking for a CV. We are looking for someone of good character — kind, patient, dependable and genuinely caring. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. Full training is provided. You must be mobile and able to reliably travel to Wells-next-the-Sea.

What Super House offers: Flexible hours to suit your availability, full induction and ongoing training, uniform provided, DBS check arranged, on-site car parking, and the opportunity to work within a stable and experienced team where many staff have been in post for over a decade. Future NVQ qualification support may be available for the right candidate.

Please note — Scarborough House is unable to offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
