Activities Coordinator (Weekends)

Job summary

Victoria Grand is a friendly residential care home in Worthing. A short walk from the seaside.

We are looking to employ an experienced Activity Coordinator for 14 hours a week. 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. You will be working 2 days a week with half an hour unpaid lunch break each day.

You should have experience as an activity coordinator for at least 2 years preferably in a residential home. You need to be a good team player who is able to connect people of different age, gender, interest and to provide meaningful activities such as playing monopoly. Doing quizzes, giving clients breakfast or drinks. You might play dominos with a client or organise a minibus outing or take a resident to the beach.

We are looking for someone who is able to look and act outside the usual box, someone who is not afraid to try out new ideas and is also willing to learn new skills if required.

You also need to be computer literate as you will be required to record your ideas, to write down activity plans and to record daily progress of our residents. We treat everybody with kindness and compassion and is so important to deliver this to achieve a smile on every clients face. You will also host breakfast between 9am - 10am and Lunch at 12pm - 1pm, helping support the residents during these times.
