About the Role
Working as part of a highly committed team at Hallmark, the Deputy Care Home Manager is one of the key roles within our homes and is a vital support for our General Managers.
As Clinical Deputy Manager, your gentle touch will put the residents' care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. At Hallmark we pride ourselves on the warmth and support we provide to our residents and their families like with an everyday chat or just a phone call away. We like to see our residents happy and jovial, and where possible create independence, dignity, and quality of life, always in a person-centred caring and supportive environment.
As Deputy Manager, you will
- Support with leading the wider team to ensure they are aligned with the Hallmark charter, vision and values
- Lead care delivery in the home, to ensure continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents’ care.
- Ensure the clinical and care team are adhering to the requirements of their codes of conduct
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents and their families
- Have an adaptable and flexible approach to the role and nature of a care home environment
About You:
The Deputy Care Home Manager is a motivational and inspirational leader who has the ability to motivate, engage, and exercise leadership throughout the team with an open and relaxed communication style. Naturally, we would expect the Deputy Care Home Manager to achieve a high standard of clinical care by auditing, analysing trends and directing the care team to deliver great results.
A key to success in this role is the ability to communicate easily with CQC, Social Services, and the Safeguarding teams. The ability to implement action plans for improvement and build a reputation of high-quality care delivery for the home.
- Registered General Nurse with active NMC PIN and strong clinical skills
- Proven experience of post-qualification Practice in a health and social care setting with older people
- Previous experience of leading a team (ideally 2 years)
- Great written and verbal skills for communication and understanding
- Good IT skills and confidence in computer-based work

relationships
