The Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your duties will include cleaning and maintaining all communal areas, supporting residents with light domestic tasks in their apartments, and assisting with laundry and housekeeping services. You will work to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, following Health & Safety, COSHH and infection control guidelines at all times, while respecting residents’ privacy and individual preferences. Kindness, attention to detail and a commitment to quality will be at the heart of everything you do.Requirements
- We are looking for someone with some experience of working as a cleaner or Housekeeper however full training will be given if we think you demonstrate the right qualities at interview.
- An understanding of Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH would be an advantage.
- All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.
- Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.
- You must have current valid right to work in the UK. This role does not meet the requirements of Sponsorship.
The Person
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to follow instructions and detailed guidelines and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills towards residents, colleagues and visitors.
- Have previous experience in a Housekeeper/ Cleaning position however full training will be provided.
- Be able to work within a team and also work unsupervised.
- Show thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Have a basic understanding of using cleaning chemicals and handling and dealing with infection control situations.
