Laundry Assistant
Location: Fountains Lodge Care Home, 13-17 London Road, Southborough, Royal
Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN4 0RJ
Contract: Permanent - Part Time
Hours: 25 hours per week covering days. Flexibility is essential.
Salary: £13.30 - £14.30 per hour depending on experience

Fountains Lodge provides personalised nursing and residential care to
people living with cognitive impairments, including dementia care. The
purpose built home in Tunbridge Wells offers short stays too
(including palliative care), to help both carers and their loved ones
at times when they need a break or a little extra support.
All bedrooms are tastefully decorated and offer en suite
facilities, while some come with patio doors providing direct garden
access. It also has a suite suitable for couples.
The home has its own cafe? as well as lounges and private dining
areas for family and friends to come and enjoy when visiting their
loved ones or celebrating a birthday or anniversary together.
Situated in Southborough, the home is a few minutes from all its
amenities - shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, and has good transport
and road links, making it ideally located for visiting family and friends.
Staff take great care to focus on the person. Its important for
residents to feel at home, so it creates a friendly environment with
an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.
There's a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to
discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is
organised around those interests. So whether your loved one already
has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of
exciting activities to get involved in.

You'll help us make health happen by:
- Always maintaining high standards of laundry within our home.
- Keeping our resident's looking and feeling great; you will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and repairing items of clothing as needed.
- Maintaining linen stocks for day to day use around the home, you'll raise any issues to the Senior Housekeeper as you go.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you'll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
