Senior Carer Vacancy – Blossom Lodge Care Home
Blossom Lodge Care Home, located on Cherrys Road, Barnsley (S71 5QU), is looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Senior Carer to join our caring and supportive team.
About the Role:
As a Senior Carer, you will take a lead role in delivering
high-quality care, supporting residents with dignity and respect while
supervising and guiding care staff on shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting the care team during shifts
- Administering and managing medications (where applicable)
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Developing and reviewing care plans
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and management
- Ensuring compliance with care standards and safeguarding policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a senior care role
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Medication administration experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach
