Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant/Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a hygienic environment for service users, staff and visitors alike. Previous Nursing home experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties across various areas, including bedrooms, corridors, and communal spaces
- Manage laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linen and clothing items
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored appropriately
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in line with health and safety regulations
- Assist with stock control of cleaning materials and laundry supplies
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Follow organisational procedures to ensure the security of premises and equipment
Skills / Qualifications:
- Skills Previous experience in a Nursing home or similar environment is advantageous Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively Reliable
