Kitchen Assistant – Lammermuir House Care Home

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Flexible shifts on offer
• Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

About the Role
As Kitchen Assistant, you will support our culinary team to prepare and serve high-quality meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen. You will assist with meal preparation, handle deliveries, ensure food hygiene standards are met, and help the team run the kitchen efficiently. Your work ensures our residents enjoy nutritious meals in a welcoming environment.

What We Are Looking For
You are organised, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team. You take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment. Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is beneficial but not essential. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene is desirable.

You are enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated by helping others. You communicate well, work well with colleagues, and take pride in creating a positive and safe environment for residents.

Location
Lammermuir House Care Home, located in Dunbar, provides a modern, purpose-built facility for up to 48 residents with nursing needs.
