We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Carer. This role is vital in ensuring our residents feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the night. You will work as part of a supportive night team, delivering high-quality care in line with our Sunflower Approach to Care.

About the Role:

This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone passionate about elderly and dementia care who enjoys supporting and developing others.

Working nights, you will be responsible for supporting residents with their individual needs, carrying out regular checks, and ensuring a calm and safe environment. You will play an important role in maintaining residents’ dignity, comfort, and wellbeing overnight.

Keep responsibilities include:

·  Provide high standards of person-centred care based on residents’ individual needs

·  Carry out regular night checks to ensure residents’ safety and wellbeing

·  Support residents with personal care, including continence care and repositioning

·  Respond promptly to call bells and any emergencies

·  Maintain a calm, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the night

·  Accurately complete care records and documentation

·  Work closely with the night team and report any concerns to senior staff

·  Support residents living with dementia with reassurance and orientation

·  Assist with maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the home during quieter periods

·  Follow all health & safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures

About You

You will have experience within elderly care and a caring, patient nature.

We are looking for someone who can:

·  Ideally have experience in elderly and/or dementia care

·  Hold (or be willing to work towards) a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care

·  Demonstrate a compassionate and respectful approach to care

·  Be reliable, attentive, and able to work independently at night

·  Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues

·  Remain calm and responsive in emergency situations

·  Experience with Person Centre Software (PCS) desirable.
