Throughout the 4 years during which my mother and then my father were resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home, our experience was always extremely positive. It's a bright, modern facility and the garden, with its ducks, is a lovely feature of the home. What makes Farnham Mill special is the brilliant
team - from the friendly welcome at Reception, to all the teams who work so hard to make the residents safe, happy and interested in life - the entertainment team, catering team, cleaning team and of course the incredible nursing team who genuinely care for the residents. James, the Manager, is always present. The chef was always willing to make a special meal if the menu didn't quite suit my mum's appetite. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the residents are cared for with genuine compassion and dignity. Both my parents passed away at Farnham Mill and the care they received at the end of their long lives was exceptional, as was the support that we received at this difficult time
Reply from Hannah Webb, HR & Finance Advisor at Farnham Mill Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It is the perfect place for respite care; when the time comes, I only hope that Bob will spend his time here. The fees are rather high, but it was worth every penny knowing that he received the best care you would wish for. Thank you all.

My mother, who is a long term resident, is very well cared for. She is treated with respect and kindness by all the staff. I feel reassured that her needs are being met and that if there are any problems I'm informed promptly. Although she doesn't take an active role in the activities she seems to be
included. Any time we visit Mum we are greeted by all the staff who are all very kind and helpful. I am very happy with the staff and management of the home.
Reply from Hannah Webb, HR & Finance Advisor at Hill House Nursing and Dementia HomeThank you for taking the time to share your positive experience. My mother has been with Hill Brow and then Hill House for over 5 years now. Each time we visit her, most weeks, at Hill House my wife and I are always amazed by the care and attention she receives. The staff are truly wonderful with her and she is very much looked after with love and dignity. Alzheimer's
is a horrible condition and am not sure how we would have managed without the team at Hill House. It gives us great reassurance that she feels safe and well looked after. The affection and relationships she has built with the staff is remarkable which keeps her engaged and she enjoys the activities they put on, especially music and doing a bit of dancing. She could not be in a better place! Highly recommend Hill House - it is how caring for the elderly and especially those with dementia should be.
Reply from Hannah Webb, HR & Finance Advisor at Hill House Nursing and Dementia HomeWe are so grateful for your thoughtful review. It's wonderful that your mother has continued to receive consistent and compassionate care from Hill Brow to Hill House, especially with the specialist support for Alzheimer's and dementia care and continuing to support her on this journey. It's also lovely to know she enjoys the activities, particularly the live music and entertainers we have coming to the home. Your feedback and recommendation mean a great deal to our entire team.

I know my mother is very settled at Hill House and the staff are all wonderful, both to her and also to us whenever we visit. Everyone there is so welcoming and I see how attentive they are to my mother and to the other residents. I know we don't have to worry about her as her every need seems to
be met. I know Mum enjoys the outings that are arranged, and chooses which activities she wants to participate in.

For the past couple of years my mum has been taken care of at the nursing home. The care, commitment and empathy shown to each resident is outstanding.
From the moment you walk in, greeted by dedicated, helpful and always cheerful staff at reception, to the compassion shown with individual care.
The
whole experience is amazing, always on hand to listen and update health issues and beiing kept informed every step of the way.
The staff know all the residents so well and the interaction with activities and outings is fantastic. Always plenty of home made food and drink, for residents and visitors...and staff.

Ever since our Mother became a resident at Hill House my brother and I have ceased to worry about Mother's wellbeing.
Simply because the all round 24 hour care that she receives is exemplary in every detail.
I have yet to visit her to find her upset.
She looks upon Hill House as her home!

My mother was a resident for over 3 years at Hill House. When she fell and broke her hip the staff could not have been more helpful and caring. One nurse called the ambulance while another spent however long holding her hand, comforting her. The hospital was good at fixing the hip but not able to cope
with dementia. I was so relieved and thankful when she returned to a big welcome at Hill house. Despite the extra work, hoisting and trying to encourage her to eat again, all the care and nursing staff were so kind and patient. Sadly, she gave up on life, realising she was not going to be able to walk unaided. The staff enabled her to die peacefully. When I was not there, I knew they would be treating her as though she was their own mother/grandmother. It was better than a hospice, simply because they all knew her well. Everyone was supportive to me throughout. Thank you, Hill House staff.

Kevin and I were visiting my mum and stepfather from Australia for fifteen days. We were at Woodlands every day and found the staff were very welcoming and friendly. This was our third long-stay visit since mum has been a resident. We have come to know the staff well and appreciate their ongoing care.
It was obvious to us mum is happy and well cared for. Julia and Kevin

Woodlands was my dad's home for 17 months. It's a wonderful home where the care is outstanding. The staff are so kind and respectful, and nothing is too much trouble. Visitors are always made to feel so welcome. You really feel part of The Woodlands family.
Dad was very proud of his beautiful room
with patio doors opening onto the glorious gardens. He would often tell visitors that Woodlands was the place to be, saying it's so homely and cosy. There are lots of activities on offer. Dad particularly enjoyed the musical events. He also loved going on outings for coffee and cake and to the pub. He often talked about having a good old singsong on the minibus! Sadly, my dad now requires nursing care and recently moved from Woodlands. However, knowing that he was going to one of the group's nursing homes made the transition so much easier. I would like to say a huge thank to everyone at Woodlands for making my dad's stay such a happy one. Our family is so glad we found you.

We wish your dad all the best in his new home, and so pleased that he is still part of the Woodlands & Hillbrow community, we hope we were able to support the transition to ensure the move was a smooth as possible for dad and the family.

My mother, who has Alzheimers, has now been at Farnham.Mill for 6 1/2 years and the care she receives is second to none. The consistency of the staff is key to making her feel safe and the patience and care they have is so good. They always treat her with dignity, compassion and humour and I know that
she is receiving the best of care.
Even though she is not able to take part in as many of the lovely activities as she used to, the staff ensure that she can access thise that she still enjoys and provide her with company and engagement.

My dad lived at Woodlands Residential Care Home for two months, and I honestly can't fault them. From the moment he arrived, the care, kindness and respect shown to him and to us as a family was outstanding.
The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely caring. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal;
they took the time to get to know my dad and treated him with dignity at all times. Communication was excellent, and we always felt informed and reassured.
The home itself was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and there was a real sense of calm and compassion throughout. It truly felt like a safe and caring place.
We were absolutely gutted that my dad had to leave, but that was only because his needs changed and he required nursing care rather than residential, not because of anything lacking at Woodlands. If his needs hadn't changed, we would have wanted him to stay there without hesitation.
Thank you to all the staff at Woodlands for everything you did for my dad xxx
