My mum has been in Hill House for almost 2 years now and i cannot praise the home enough. All the staff are caring, attentive, nothing is to much trouble, supportive, helpful. Everyone is so welcoming it feels like our extended home. Regular updates are given in newsletters, social media, phone
calls and residents meetings. It is lovely to see my mum laughing, smiling and enjoying activities which we could not get her to undertake at home. The activities are themed each week morning and afternoon and enjoyed very much by myself and my grandson when we visit regularly.
After having a very difficult time approaching the subject of my mum going into a nursing home, this was the best decision we made for her and our family. We know she is in the very best of hands where her medical care, personal care and wellbeing are at the foremost of the staff. And most importantly Mum now calls it her home.

My mother has been at Farnham Mill for over a year. Physically she is so much better. When she came in she had been cared for at home and was in bed all day with swallowing issues. Now she is eating solid food, sometimes by herself, and is up and dressed every day. The staff are all extremely kind
and welcoming and as agencies are not used you get to know them. Some of the dementia patients (including my Mum) are on the same floor as nursing patients which creates more of a family atmosphere where everyone is accepted. The home is very bright and airy and it is great to be able to get out into the garden and look at the ducks. A good range of activities are proposed so there is something for everyone. My mother particularly enjoys when singers come in which seems to happen every week. It is such a relief to have the nurses there and to be able to ask them whenever there are medical issues.
Reply from Hannah Webb, HR & Finance Advisor at Farnham Mill Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to write a review. It's been fantastic to see your mother settle into life at the home. It's an honour to care for her, and a joy to see her improve physically throughout her time with us.
We are so proud of our fantastic, permanent team - no agency staff results in a team built on longevity and dedication to offer the best care for our residents.
Thank you again.

Dad is well cared for and feels part of the family at Hill House. All the staff are friendly, respectful and polite towards him and to visitors at all times. The staff are responsive to changes in need and make prompt assessment and interventions including liaising with other professionals and his

My mother has been in Farnham Mill for over a year now. I visit her almost daily and I am always greeted warmly on arrival by the excellent reception staff and all the staff make me feel so welcome. I am kept updated of illnesses and issues by the nursing staff regularly. I witness daily the endless
patience and kindness shown to some of the more challenging residents by the care staff and indeed by all staff. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. They are encouraged, but not forced, to join in the varied activities by an enthusiastic and friendly activities team. Their food preferences are always respected where possible, and residents and their rooms are kept clean. I would certainly recommend Farnham Mill as a nursing home should you need care for a loved one.

My mother has been in Hill House for two and a half years now and is approaching her 100th birthday. She has severe dementia but is clearly very happy in her home. Hill House is by far the best care home I have seen (and I've seen a few). The staff are always cheerful, attentive, and give mum all the
kindness and support she needs. The home is well run and I can personally vouch that the food is excellent. There are plenty of games and activities during the week. Mum loves to join in where she can, or watch if not. I have nothing but praise for manager Shabana and her whole team!

My nan attends woodlands care home in church crookham & all round could not be happier . As residents they are so well cared for & looked after, the staff are very patient and kind . It's given her back a social life & also given us as a family such a peace of mind knowing she is safe and looked after
while we can't be there .
A special mention to the amazing Donna on reception, who made sure my nan & all of us were welcomed from the very first time we entered the doors.
Debbie does a fantastic job at manager & has done for many years. Her care for the residents & care for how the home is run is evident. How happy the staff working there seems also speak volumes

My mother has been at Hill House since May 2024 initially for respite following a fall and broken wrist. Hill House were very helpful finding a room quickly and accepting Mum into their care. Initially Mum was reticent about being in the home but here dementia worsened and the decision was made to stay
at Hill House on a permanent basis. The carers and nursing staff are fully committed to the care they give and Mum has eventually settled in to daily life at Hill House. Everyday is a new day. Nursing staff ensure Mum gets her medication. Mum is seen by the GP/ GP representative weekly and or as required and certain conditions have improved with the care being given. Mum is given the opportunity to get involved with activities arranged by the activities team including outings on the minibus.
Support for residents family is also good with regular newsletters etc but also with advise on allowances, other support services and completion of paperwork.

I have to say that we were very worried about putting our Dad in a home but it was the best decision that we had to make for him. He has so much more interaction with people and entertainment and care than he could ever have had from home!
The staff at Farnham Mill are absolutely amazing and as we
are going into his third year soon, to see the same familiar faces is amazing and a credit to the company.
A special mention is definately needed for Prabesh who is the best carer I have come across, so caring, patient and fun but in fact every single one of the staff seem to be happy to be working there which is lovely to see.
Maxine on reception also does an amazing job and makes you feel very welcome.
Chefs too are great!
Thanks to everyone involved in looking after our Dad and I would highly recommend Farnham Mill to anyone having to make the hard decision because once you make it, it's actually a huge relief! xxx

All staff are always welcoming, kind and accommodating each and every time I visit.
I feel entirely confident to approach them with any concerns and know things will be followed up and communicated.
Dad has clearly made relationships with most of the carers, nurses, activities staff and ancillary
members of the team- they always ensure he is included in what is going on, are aware of his needs and are reactive to how he is feeling- showing patience and give him time to communicate whatever it is he wants to say.

I should really do this more regularly, I cannot believe it has been a year since I last completed a review.
I continue from last year in the sane vane. I am so grateful for all the care and support that each and everyone of the staff provide to my mum. From a warm welcome on a Sunday morning from
the lovely weekend receptionists, to those that launder mums clothes, staff that keep her room immaculately clean, the kitchen staff who provide the most lovely meals and snacks to those who directly support mum with care and the entertainments team who work so hard to encourage not just my mum but all the residents in participating in activities, keeping them moving and providing fun, not forgetting Prabesh's manicure skills that i witnessed on a recent visit. I really could not be more comforted to know that mum is in safe hands. I would also like to compliment Sally (manager) for her continual presence and clearly amazing leadership that ensures the consistent high standards. Thankyou all

It is now just over one year that my husband has resided in Farnham Mill Care and Dementia Home.
Based on these twelve months of personal experience, I can only repeat the outstanding review I gave it last year.
My husband, aged 93, who was seriously mentally and physically ill on admission last
year, has made considerable improvements in both these areas, thanks to the professional care and personal dedication of all staff.
He feels esteemed and respected, an important factor in everyone's life and receives as much stimulation as is possible to give to anyone who lives under these conditions.
Throughout the year, regular review meetings and ad- hoc conversations with nursing and managerial staff have helped me to resolve and cope with complex situations regarding my husband's welfare.
I have no hesitation in recommending Farnham Mill to anyone who is looking for a care home where high professionalism matches personal dedication.

My mum has been a resident at Hill Brow since late December 2024. She had experienced several falls whilst living at home and was quite frail when she arrived at Hill Brow. During the past 9 months her health has improved, she has gained a little weight and she is very happy.
