My mother, who has Alzheimers, has now been at Farnham.Mill for 6 1/2 years and the care she receives is second to none. The consistency of the staff is key to making her feel safe and the patience and care they have is so good. They always treat her with dignity, compassion and humour and I know that
she is receiving the best of care.

Even though she is not able to take part in as many of the lovely activities as she used to, the staff ensure that she can access thise that she still enjoys and provide her with company and engagement.

My dad lived at Woodlands Residential Care Home for two months, and I honestly can't fault them. From the moment he arrived, the care, kindness and respect shown to him and to us as a family was outstanding.
The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely caring. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal;
they took the time to get to know my dad and treated him with dignity at all times. Communication was excellent, and we always felt informed and reassured.
The home itself was clean, comfortable and welcoming, and there was a real sense of calm and compassion throughout. It truly felt like a safe and caring place.
We were absolutely gutted that my dad had to leave, but that was only because his needs changed and he required nursing care rather than residential, not because of anything lacking at Woodlands. If his needs hadn't changed, we would have wanted him to stay there without hesitation.
Thank you to all the staff at Woodlands for everything you did for my dad xxx

My mother spent 2 weeks in respite care over Christmas and the New Year. Every single staff member was so kind, excellent at their jobs and loving towards my mother. My Mum said at one point "I've never been looked after so well", and she loved the activities and the trip out. The activity leaders were
fabulous - I had so much fun joining in with my Mum, and their activity options were really varied and creative.
Every single staff member contributed to making a difficult time for my Mum, myself and my brother a thousand times easier. They welcomed not just my Mum into their home, but also her family. The home was spotless, and the menu was exceptional too. I'm so grateful.

Absolutely fantastic. My grandmother recently moved to Hill Brow and is settling in really well. The staff are friendly, observant and quick to assist as well as always being available to provide a knowledgeable update on my grandmother. Hill Brow is beautifully furnished and homely which is a huge
comfort to residents. Meals are 5 star and options are available to cater for all. Hill Brow provides all week round entertainment including outings, craft and music and more. Fellow residents are lovely and there is a wonderful 'family' atmosphere. I have been left more than impressed with the home and staff at Hill Brow and their above and beyond reproach to making my grandmothers transition to residential care as best as possible.

My mother was a resident at Hill Brow for 4 years until her recent passing.
During her stay she was extremely happy and content. It would be unfair to single out any member of staff as they all were so attentive and caring. Nothing was too much trouble 24 hrs a day.She had a lovely ground floor room
with patio doors leading onto a lovely kept garden .It was always a joy to arrive and see her sitting outside enjoying her cups of tea and newspapers. Food, entertainment and outings were so well geared for all residents with various needs.
The attention to detail in all matters was impressive .
We could not have wished for a better place for my mother to enjoy her final years at the age of 96.

I would like to personally thank all the staff at Woodlands for the fantastic care and attention shown to my late mother. Initially she went to Woodlands on a respite basis but soon realised that she would like to be a full time resident. Residential care is always a difficult decision to make but knowing
that she was cared for 24/7 was a huge relief and piece of mind for all her family. I would have no hesitation in recommending Woodlands as a place of outstanding care. All the reviews embody how we all feel about Woodlands.

My father became a resident on the 6th November. From the very first contact we were all made to feel at home and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and took their time to get to know dad, his needs, as well as his likes and dislikes. We expected to have concerns leaving dad each day, but
these were unfounded and in fact we felt comfortable knowing that he was being looked after to the highest standard. It was good to get the regular updates, especially after the doctor had visited, it gave much needed assurance that his care was monitored. Much more so in fact than when he had been at home.
The main lift was out of action whilst dad was a resident, but since we were able to use the staff lift it was not an inconvenience.
The only very small point I would like to make is the call system, it could be quite disturbing. It would have also been good to be able to call and ask for something, rather than it feel urgent.
Thanks to everyone who provided such excellent care.

My mum has been in Hill House for almost 2 years now and i cannot praise the home enough. All the staff are caring, attentive, nothing is to much trouble, supportive, helpful. Everyone is so welcoming it feels like our extended home. Regular updates are given in newsletters, social media, phone
calls and residents meetings. It is lovely to see my mum laughing, smiling and enjoying activities which we could not get her to undertake at home. The activities are themed each week morning and afternoon and enjoyed very much by myself and my grandson when we visit regularly.
After having a very difficult time approaching the subject of my mum going into a nursing home, this was the best decision we made for her and our family. We know she is in the very best of hands where her medical care, personal care and wellbeing are at the foremost of the staff. And most importantly Mum now calls it her home.

My mother has been at Farnham Mill for over a year. Physically she is so much better. When she came in she had been cared for at home and was in bed all day with swallowing issues. Now she is eating solid food, sometimes by herself, and is up and dressed every day. The staff are all extremely kind
and welcoming and as agencies are not used you get to know them. Some of the dementia patients (including my Mum) are on the same floor as nursing patients which creates more of a family atmosphere where everyone is accepted. The home is very bright and airy and it is great to be able to get out into the garden and look at the ducks. A good range of activities are proposed so there is something for everyone. My mother particularly enjoys when singers come in which seems to happen every week. It is such a relief to have the nurses there and to be able to ask them whenever there are medical issues.

My mother has been in Farnham Mill for over a year now. I visit her almost daily and I am always greeted warmly on arrival by the excellent reception staff and all the staff make me feel so welcome. I am kept updated of illnesses and issues by the nursing staff regularly. I witness daily the endless
patience and kindness shown to some of the more challenging residents by the care staff and indeed by all staff. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. They are encouraged, but not forced, to join in the varied activities by an enthusiastic and friendly activities team. Their food preferences are always respected where possible, and residents and their rooms are kept clean. I would certainly recommend Farnham Mill as a nursing home should you need care for a loved one.

My mother has been in Hill House for two and a half years now and is approaching her 100th birthday. She has severe dementia but is clearly very happy in her home. Hill House is by far the best care home I have seen (and I've seen a few). The staff are always cheerful, attentive, and give mum all the
kindness and support she needs. The home is well run and I can personally vouch that the food is excellent. There are plenty of games and activities during the week. Mum loves to join in where she can, or watch if not. I have nothing but praise for manager Shabana and her whole team!
