Farnham Mill Nursing Home

My parents moved into Farnham Mill Nursing home earlier this year and were there together until they died within a week of each other - they had been married for over 70 years. I cannot over-state the compassionate and patient care they received from all the staff I and my siblings met. Above all, the staff were extremely flexible in providing for our parents' needs, adapting quickly as these changed in a way I suspect may be very unusual - nothing was too much trouble. Farnham Mill has a bright and peaceful environment with a beautiful garden where our parents spent much of their time, and an ethos whereby all the staff I met, despite their often challenging and demanding work, always seemed to have time for a chat whether with our parents or, often, with us as visiting family. This mattered hugely to us as our parents became ever more frail and unable to look after themselves. We had looked at other care homes, but were so glad we decided on Farnham Mill.

I came here after 6 days in hospital and have spent 43 days. I am going home today. The care has been excellent, and I have been nursed back to health. The food is lovely and i never left a crumb the staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble i cannot praise it enough. I would consider choosing Farnham Mill in the future, if I needed longer care

My sister was admitted to Farnham Mill Nursing Home on 26 March 2026 having broken her hip and being hospitalized four weeks. When she was admitted to Farnham Mill, she was severely under-nourished and in very poor health. Within four months, she has gained weight, become much more positive and active. The staff have shown exceptional care and kindness and have been proactive in assessing her needs. I cannot fault Farnham Mill in any area.

Our Mum was in-residence with Farnham Mill Care Home for 18 months until she sadly passed away recently. Mum was living with dementia and complex medical needs which caused her frustration at times. During Mum's stay in Farnham Mill we were so pleased with the care and attention she received. The staff do an amazing job in very difficult circumstances and are at all times highly professional, caring and just want to do the best for the people they care for. At all times Mum was treated with dignity and respect. The family do not feel a better care home could have been found where the staff work so hard to create a caring family-type atmosphere. I highly recommend Farnham Mill Care Home.

Our mother has been living at Farnham Mill for a number of years now and whilst becoming increasingly frail and dependent on staff for all her care needs she is still able to enjoy some quality of life. As well as being very much looked after by all the staff you sense that they really do care for Mum and the other residents, it is never just a job for them. When we celebrated Mum's birthday in May they made a great fuss of her with a lovely cake and singing happy birthday and you sensed that Mum knew something special was going on. It meant a great deal for the immediate family who were there to share that celebration with her. All the staff at Farnham Mill do an amazing job in their various roles and it gives us peace of mind to know that Mum could not be in better hands and a lovelier care home.

Farnham Mill is an excellent home. On visiting the first time we were impressed by the welcome; the professionalism of the staff and most imprtantly that the residents appeared happy and well cared for. My sister was incapacitated + confined to her room, where she felt safe and settled. She received excellent nursing care and was regularly visited by the activities team, the staff from administration, nursing, support and cleaners were without exception caring and friendly. They all made my sister's stay and last few months comfortable + contented. I couldn't ask for more.

The care my father received at Farnham Mill was absolutely outstanding. The staff were, without exception, so kind and compassionate that he became settled and happy in the place he referred to as ' home'. They brought warmth and humour into his life every day, and it was wonderful to see him smile even on the day he passed away. They made him feel part of the life of the home in every way, and made great efforts to assist him maintain his mobility with daily walks around the beautifully maintained garden and duck pond. When Dad arrived at Farnham Mill he couldn't sit to stand from a chair, but within two weeks he was walking unaided, thanks to the dedicated staff. He spent two years there, and always said it was wonderful. When he came to the end of his life, the kindness and compassion from the nursing staff was incredible, and was of huge comfort to him and me. I will always be grateful to Farnham Mill for being our extended family. Thank you so much.

The home is of a great standard - it is bright, clean and the staff were very attentive and so well trained, based on the way they cared for Mum. We could not fault Farnham Mill and would highly recommend it.

The activities arranged are extensive and help to stimulate the residents so that they can continue to enjoy their days. I can not thank everyone enough or speak highly of the home and all its staff.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Farnham Mill, not only do they take care of my Dad brilliantly, they take of me brilliantly too.

Visiting a family member in the last weeks of life is difficult & emotionally challenging. The staff are amazing, offering selfless care, love & devotion to our Aunt, but looking after us too. We feel supported, valued & respected & our visits are made that much easier. Thank you to absolutely everyone.

Throughout the 4 years during which my mother and then my father were resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home, our experience was always extremely positive. It's a bright, modern facility and the garden, with its ducks, is a lovely feature of the home. What makes Farnham Mill special is the brilliant team - from the friendly welcome at Reception, to all the teams who work so hard to make the residents safe, happy and interested in life - the entertainment team, catering team, cleaning team and of course the incredible nursing team who genuinely care for the residents. James, the Manager, is always present. The chef was always willing to make a special meal if the menu didn't quite suit my mum's appetite. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the residents are cared for with genuine compassion and dignity. Both my parents passed away at Farnham Mill and the care they received at the end of their long lives was exceptional, as was the support that we received at this difficult time

Very pleased with the care provided for my mother in law. She is always clean and very happy. The staff are very attentive, and also look after us with teas and coffees when we come to visit.

It is the perfect place for respite care; when the time comes, I only hope that Bob will spend his time here. The fees are rather high, but it was worth every penny knowing that he received the best care you would wish for. Thank you all.
