Our friend was a resident at Farnham Mill Nursing Home for nine months. The care she received was excellent throughout this time, including during her last illness. Every comfort was provided as were plenty of stimulating activities. Visitors were always made to feel welcome too, including children and dogs!

In general terms, kindness personified would describe the atmosphere at the Mill. The buildings are new as is the décor and everything is fresh and inviting but behind it all is a super efficient team of people running a home for old people like my wife and me, who are given the help required to wash, dress, go to bed, get up etc. Medication is dispursed if required and all the needs of us elderly folk have been carefully studied and are taken care of.

I find most of your staff very helpful and attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. I love the way all staff speak to your residents on the way through even if just in passing, even if it's just a hello, it means so much to your residents. However, when Mum moved into the room there was no paperwork or contract. No information was given to me how much the room was, and, in the end, I had to chase it up as by then I was well over a month overdue in paying. I later found out that there was a smaller room that Mum could have had but this was not offered. I have found things have gone missing from my Mum's room, especially a black and white cat smaller than the one she has on her bed. But unfortunately, could not get anyone to take responsibility for it to be found and still would like this looked into - it has to be there somewhere! It took a long time to find out who my mum's key worker is and nurse. I only found this out in April.

An excellent nursing home in all respects. Having had to move my mother very quickly from another setting due to poor leadership and subsequent poor care, this has been a complete relief and revelation! Overnight my mother changed back into the person she was. As a nurse myself with very high standards, I am completely satisfied with the care my mother is receiving. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are happy, cheerful, respectful and extremely intuitive.

I can't fault this place at all and my mother is happy!

An extremely modern, privately owned and very well run Nursing Home just outside Farnham Town Centre. Following my wife's stroke in 2016, this was my first time as a Respite User of any facility. The two weeks I was here, with my wife, were just what we both needed! The staff were clearly well motivated for whom nothing was too much trouble. The warmth both from staff and the building, during the heavy snowfall, was first class. A well run home with good supervision from all concerned. There was good interaction from staff and Residents alike. The activities were well thought out; the 'Pat' dog and likewise friendly baby goats were a delight, as were the visits by young children.

This is my first experience of a nursing home so I do not have any prior experience. This home is very pleasant, very clean and neat and tidy. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. It has a happy atmosphere. My mother was very nervous moving into a nursing home but Farnham Mill has provided a caring home for her to continue with her life. Thank you to everyone.

The care and kindness to my mother during her stay at Farnham Mill Nursing Home was exemplary. The staff are excellent and cannot do enough to make residents welcome, special and safe. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and light and airy with nice furniture and accessories. The public areas are bright and airy too with attractive pictures. I would not hesitate to recommend Farnham Mill to anyone needing nursing care.

This was my father's first experience of respite care and at 98 years of age, I did not take the decision lightly. Farnham Mill has recently opened and is of the highest standard. He was happy and well cared for, enjoyed the food and activities and found all the staff caring, pleasant and professional. His room was well appointed and the communal areas comfortable and we3lcoming. The atmosphere always seemed happy and inclusive. He is willing to stay again for respite and hopes to go there for regular daycare once available. This is a good indication of how well Farnham Mill is working.

My father stayed at Farnham Mill for 4 weeks of respite care. The staff took the time to get to know Dad as well as all the other visiting family members. We were always provided with a warm welcome whenever we visited. The team ensured that all Dad's needs were met and he was well cared for during his stay. They were polite, friendly, caring and very helpful. The home is modern and open plan, allowing socialising between the residents to take place alongside a varied activity programme. The gardens were a particular favourite.

Our mum moved into Farnham Mill in August 2018 and from her first day, we have been nothing but impressed and thankful for the wonderful work from everyone at the home. It is such a warm, friendly and welcoming place and we are always greeted with a smile from everyone who works and lives here. The care that is given to our mum has exceeded our expectations and our mum is always laughing with staff when we come here. We are so grateful to Farnham Mill for making a difficult time so much easier. Thank you.

Needing respite care following a fall, I stayed at Farnham Mill Nursing Home for three weeks.

During this time, I received excellent all round attention for my needs. Staff were attentive and well trained showing respect and care in a very happy environment. The home being new, is bright and welcoming and is also furnished to a high standard. Having stayed here, I would willingly return if the necessity arose. Recommended.

During my father's time spent at Farnham Mill, he was surrounded by such kindness, care and consideration. Nothing was too much for the staff, even the chef who happily, and without prompting, prepared food which she thought my father would enjoy to tempt his poor appetite. The staff were thoughtful and proactive. We felt as though we had all been welcomed into a new family. As a bonus, all the rooms were beautiful and well thought out.

My grandmother recently moved into Farnham Mill for some respite and recuperation following a prolonged level of general weakness and inability to look after herself satisfactorily. Since her residence here she has greatly benefited from the most caring and helpful staff that have given her a wonderful boost of positivity and helped her regain her confidence and independence, a truly wonderful facility that has changed her world and given my family at large a much less worrying time. I cannot recommend Farnham Mill and all of its very well trained and qualified staff enough. Thank you.

‘Working as the deputy manager in Farnham Mill NH has enabled me to utilise a wealth of transferable skills developed during my 42yrs nursing experience. I am very passionate about ensuring residents are provided with attentive and respectful care, at the same time ensuring that they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life.

I love being able to take time to talk, listen and understand what matters to the resident, as It is important that residents can express choices and feel involved in the way their care is planned and delivered. My role is incredibly rewarding. I am part of a massive life changing decision that is incredibly personal and needs to be made with confidence. I think of myself as a guide for families and individuals during this new chapter of their life.

I help support with any questions and concerns but what I love most is every day I get to meet new people, hear their life stories and build great relationships with them and their families. Once they have moved in it is a joy to watch our residents thrive and enjoy life, loved ones too.
