The reception staff are extremely personable and helpful. All staff greet visitors and interact with residents most kindly. Daily entertainments and activities with a wide variety, so something for everyone. The home itself is bright and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere.

I have nothing to say that I am not happy with at Farnham Mill. It is so good to find a caring home that always informs us, and if anything that we are not sure about will always be looked into. Every member of staff is professional and caring. Our friend is very happy about everything and, in turn,
makes us happy too.

My friend was a resident at Farnham Mill for 2 1/2 years. She arrived very poorly, sad and lonely. Staff nursed her back to health both physically and mentally . She regained her confidence and creativity and was able to participate in all the things she loved doing and was so good at - flower arranging,
cooking, crafts, music, helping others and feeling useful - all at a level that was appropriate for her strength and ability at that time.
She was treated with love and respect and when she was in pain or anxious she was comforted and reassured. All her medical needs were taken care of. There were in house GP visits, physio, dentist and chiropodists.
My friend chose to stay at Farnham Mill during her last illness because it was home to her. It felt like home to me too and I was able to be with her whenever I wanted, day or night , with the added reassurance of professional care and support at hand whenever I needed it. I will always be grateful.

From the times I have visited, I can see they are very dedicated to their residents, making sure each person receives the individual support they need. I know my Granny receives plenty of emotional comfort, care, and

As soon as you step into Farnham Mill, you are greeted by a friendly and inviting atmosphere created by the staff from every department - Reception, Care, Nursing, Activities, Housekeeping, Hospitality, Maintenance, and Management. The caregivers are kind and patient and always on hand to help residents
and visitors alike. The nursing team is outstanding, answering questions and providing support, even offering a comforting hug when needed! The level of communication I receive from them is excellent. I would like to give a special mention to the kitchen staff, who accommodate special dietary needs. My 95-year-old Mum has coeliac disease, and it's reassuring to know that all her gluten-free meals are served separately, wrapped in cling film, and clearly labelled. I can rest easy knowing Mum is well looked after, not only by the care teams but also by those who work diligently behind the scenes. My siblings and I highly recommend Farnham Mill, as they have been nothing but exceptional.
Reply from Hannah Webb, HR & Finance Advisor at Farnham Mill Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to leave such a fantastic 5-star review, which is a testament to the care of all the team. We take all dietary requirements very seriously, as well as general preferences; thank you for your recognition of the team's work regarding your Mum's Coeliac requirements. Your feedback will mean so much to everyone at Farnham Mill, and it was a pleasure to care for your Mum. Thank you again.

My experience of becoming a new volunteer has been one of delight and happiness. The ladies on reception are always so welcoming and helpful and there is always a smile to greet you. The carers and all staff are so caring and professional towards the residents on all floors and nothing is too much trouble
for them. The activity staff are equally delightful and put so much effort into making the residents happy and included in an appropriate activity for them. I have also assisted on a few trips out recently where we visited a Garden Centre, Cafe and Pub and the organisation went so smoothly and the residents had a lovely time. I feel as though I have slotted straight into a very friendly group of Volunteers and a very happy home.

We had the day room to celebrate Dads birthday on Saturday, 29 March. One member of staff set up tea and coffee and decorated it beautifully. We had a lovely time and played with the balloon and batons (Dad really gets involved in this game). His grandchildren enjoyed spending time with their Granddad
in this private space and had a special treat of choosing a can of fizzy drink from the fridge! We also celebrated with a cake on his actual birthday on Monday, 31 March. We all sang Happy Birthday and shared the cake amongst staff and residents. My Dad was smiling away the team all helped with the candle and birthday banner. Thanks also to another member of staff for taking all the bookings and kitchen for making the cake. It made my Dad feel special. Thank you

The care that my granny receives at Farnham Mill is exceptional. The whole team really are her extended family. On every visit we are greeted with the warmest welcome from reception, who are always so kind and genuinely interested in how we are and what we have been up too. The staff caring for and
entertaining granny are dedicated, professional and so respectful. They are always on hand to help. The home is always so clean, and beautifully decorated for each occasion. The events we attend are so special, the catering and entertainment is always fabulous and allows us to make more precious memories with gran. All granny's great grandchildren love coming to see her. The private rooms and outside areas are great for them to run around in. They say they feel very happy when they visit and they love the fuss and treats they are given.

As a family we feel so lucky that granny lives in such a safe, happy and fulfilling environment. She deserves nothing less. Thank you

The level of care that my wife received over more than 3 years residency was consistently outstanding, being unfailingly loving and attentive even when, as her dementia increased towards the end of her life, she became rude and difficult to deal with. I cannot praise too highly the way in which all
involved contributed to her care. I am also deeply grateful for the invariable kindness and support which was extended to me over the years, especially when my wife was approaching the end of her life, and subsequently after her death. The atmosphere in the nursing home is always very friendly and welcoming. Management and all members of staff know each resident by name, and go out of their way to talk to them while going about their daily tasks. Visitors are always made to feel welcome. The light and airy design of the building, the artworks in the communal areas and residents' rooms and the furnishings, contribute significantly to the overall welcoming and very pleasant ambience.

Mum had Alzheimer's disease and spent her last two years at Farnham Mill. From reception to nursing staff and management it was very professionally run and mum was cared for as we would have wished, to help her live her best possible life through each stage. There are no temporary staff which means
you build up relationships and trust with those looking after her. I have no hesitation in recommending Farnham Mill

Both my parents have lived at Farnham Mill for 4 years. My mother has Alzheimer's and my father had been her carer for many years until he became too elderly to manage. The staff have always been very kind and considerate to both my parents. They have received regular health checks, and they are wonderful
when my mother becomes difficult. When my father was in his final days we were kept informed regularly, a local vicar was brought in to pray with him, which he would very much have wanted. He also enjoyed the regular communion services by a visiting vicar. Farnham Mill have really helped in making all the arrangements for his funeral, including bringing my mother along to the service and 3 members of staff attending. They have provided many special extra touches over the years, such as a celebratory tea for their 70th wedding anniversary and some recent pictures of him as a tribute to him. I am very pleased he spent his final years so well looked after.

Overall Farnham Mill cared for my terminally ill husband very well. It was good that the nurses liaised willingly with staff from the local hospice and the tissue viability nurse - without these people I think his care would not have been nearly as good. However, sometimes the staff seemed slow to respond
to changes in his condition and were slow to give him pain relief. I felt that they waited for him to ask for help even after this became difficult for him as he became weaker and sometimes dosey or confused. It helps when a visitor discusses concerns with senior staff. He disliked the nights and felt that the night staff were often too busy to respond quickly to calls for assistance. He felt that they were "unapproachable" . My main concern about his being in a nursing home was how much of the time he spent alone, but some of this was his choice when he was still mobile and could have joined in more activities.
Reply from Hannah Webb, HR and Finance Advisor at Farnham Mill Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review. It was a real honour to care for your husband, providing palliative care in partnership with the Palliative Care Team. We are really proud of always answering 90% of our call bells under 3 minutes, day or night, but sometimes it can feel longer during the nights, and we can only apologise for that feeling. We have a duty of care to give prescribed and controlled pain relief at the correct intervals, particularly when someone is very frail. We work in partnership with the Doctors to put comfort as a priority, especially at end of life. Everyone at Farnham Mill will miss your husband and we offer our sincere condolences. You are always welcome to visit our home, everyone will be so pleased to see you. Please be reassured we will be in touch with you directly to discuss your feedback in further detail.

My dad was a resident of Farnham Mill for just over a year and the care he received there was outstanding. Farnham Mill is a lovely environment with excellent facilities, the highest standards of cleanliness and great food but it is the staff who make it so special. All of the staff are wonderful -
friendly, professional, compassionate and caring. My dad was always treated with kindness and respect and it is clear that the staff constantly strive to provide the best care possible. Family and other visitors were welcomed at any time and the communications and updates from nursing staff were very helpful. In the last days of his life my dad received exceptional nursing care and such kindness from everyone at the home who were also so supportive towards myself and my mum. It is a very difficult decision to have to choose a nursing home for a parent but I could not recommend Farnham Mill more highly.

‘Working as the deputy manager in Farnham Mill NH has enabled me to utilise a wealth of transferable skills developed during my 42yrs nursing experience. I am a strong believer that here’s no real substitute for the intensely rewarding and fulfilling nature of looking after older people. I am very passionate about ensuring residents are provided with attentive and respectful care, at the same time ensuring that they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life.
