Location:  Woodland Grove, Rectory Lane, Loughton IG10 3RU

Hours:  25 hours per week

Pay: £13.20 per hour

Contract: Part-time, Permanent

Shift: Days (3pm-8pm including some weekends)

What you will be doing:

• Washing, drying, ironing, and folding residents’ clothing and care home linen.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the laundry area.
• Ensuring laundry is clearly labelled and returned promptly to the correct residents.
• Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently and supporting infection control procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Supporting the wider housekeeping team when required.
• Working as part of a friendly team that puts residents’ wellbeing first.

What you need:

• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and respect for residents’ personal belongings.
• Previous housekeeping experience (care home experience is desirable but not essential).
• A warm and respectful approach when working in residents’ personal spaces.
