Acorn House is a newly renovated 64-bed home situated in the centre of Nottingham, providing residential and specialist dementia care. The home is looking to find Care Assistants to join the already fabulous team. Allocated to one floor to ensure the quality of care to residents, your primary focus is to ensure the happiness and independence of the residents in your care.
What you will receive as a Care Assistant;
- £12.83 per hour
- Full-time, permanent contract
- 38.5 hours per week on a rolling 6-week rota
- 12 hours shifts, 3 on 3 off, 8am-8pm
- Based in Carrington, NG5 2AT
What you will be doing as a Care Assistant;
- Support residents with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene
- Provide support at meal times
- Ensure residents maintain good nutrition
- Assist residents to mobilise safely around the home
- Undertake light housekeeping duties such as tidying residents’ rooms, making and changing beds, etc.
- Interacting with, and encouraging residents to socialise and take part in activities
- Liaise with other care professionals relating to the needs of the residents

What you will need to be successful as a Care Assistant;
- Experience working within a caring environment
- NVQ L2 in Direct Care
- The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcomed and comfortable
- Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
- Willingness to develop new skills
