Care assistant

Job summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support and care to residents in a variety of settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home & community care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, and other health conditions. Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs
• Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas to maintain a safe environment
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe resident transfers
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
• Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring individualized attention for each resident
• Assist with patient monitoring during activities or medical procedures
• Support residents during outings or community activities as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in compliance with healthcare standards
