Job summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support and care to residents in a variety of settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home & community care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, and other health conditions. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas to maintain a safe environment
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe resident transfers
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring individualized attention for each resident
- Assist with patient monitoring during activities or medical procedures
- Support residents during outings or community activities as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in compliance with healthcare standards
