Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant - NIGHT SHIFTS - to provide exceptional support and care to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory and dementia care. This role involves assisting residents with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. The Senior Care Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing residents' quality of life through attentive caregiving and personalized support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature in accordance with care plans
  • Administer medications following HIPAA regulations and care protocols
  • Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition
  • Provide compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care, including memory support strategies
  • Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ health or behavior to nursing staff or supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to promote hygiene and safety
  • Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid protocols; respond promptly to emergencies
  • Support residents’ emotional well-being through social interaction and engagement activities
  • Document care provided accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and care plans
