Contracted Hours: 37.5 a week, 08.30 - 5.00 Mon to Friday Hayward Care
Centre, named after a local WW1 veteran, Reginald Hayward VC, is located
on the outskirts of the Wiltshire town of Devizes. The home offers
compassionate, individualised residential, dementia and respite care for
up to 80 residents. ABOUT THE ROLE Our property estate is a mixture of
sizes, ages and services. As we modernise our portfolio of homes; we are
refurbishing some with others being brand new, contemporary care homes.
With this investment into our property, we need more people with the
right mix of skills and passion to ensure that our homes are kept well
maintained and safe. As the Handy Person you’ll take pride in the Home
that you maintain, including the surrounding gardens. You’ll soon get to
know our residents and their families and will let them get involved in
helping you to maintain their home. You’ll be responsible for key tasks
such as the maintenance of heating and lighting, the overall fabric of
the building, regular checks on the boiler and water systems and
completing all relevant health and safety checks. In joining us, you’ll
also become part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside other
team members who are passionate about providing a safe environment, as
well as warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.
