candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a genuine
passion for providing exceptional care to our residents. This role
involves supervising and supporting junior staff, ensuring the
delivery of personalised care plans, and maintaining high standards of
service. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate
transportation needs. The Senior Care Assistant will play a vital role
in fostering a warm, safe, and respectful environment for all residents.
Duties
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure quality care delivery
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication administration, and meal preparation
- Implement and review personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to promote well-being and resolve concerns promptly
- Support residents in engaging in social activities and recreational programmes to enhance their quality of life
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the care environment
- Assist with the training and mentoring of new staff members to uphold organisational standards
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home specialising in senior or elderly care is essential
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of care planning processes and ability to develop personalised support strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation and reporting purposes
- Driving experience or possession of a valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents' transportation needs
