Job summary
The Role...
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader for nights to join our friendly team at our beautiful Residential Home in Liss Forest. Level 3 NVQ is required for this role.
Duties...
As Team Leader it will be your job to lead the shift and ensure all care is given to the highest standard. You will work closely with the managers to ensure the Home and residents are safe throughout the night, keep standards high and undertake staff supervisions and competence checks if they are required.
You will need to have good clinical skills, be confident in taking clinical observations and have good knowledge of common conditions suffered by elderly people, such as Dementia, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Diabetes.
You will need experience in updating care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation.
You will need to be trained to administer medication. Knowledge of Atlas or other E-Mar would be an advantage.
You must have good knowledge of infection prevention and control.
You will take on a share of the weekend on call.
Good communication skills are required for this role, as you will need to work closely with colleagues across the Home, and liaise with healthcare professionals/ partnerships. Good interpersonal skills are essential.
A minimum of 12 months experience in a Team Senior role is desired, due to the nature of the position.
