Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant on Days to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Kensington are looking to appoint a Care Assistant Full Time on Days. This will include alternative weekend working.

Pay: £13.30 per hour

Must be able to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with mobility and movement, ensuring safety at all times
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
  • Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised care tailored to each client’s needs
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
  • Document care activities accurately using IT systems and care records
  • Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining independence where possible
  • Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when necessary (driving skills preferred)
  • Uphold health and safety standards in line with organisational policies

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
