Thank you for this heart warming review; we are so glad you feel welcome in our home and your sister in law feels happy and safe. It is so important that we all work together in caring for our ladies and gentlemen. We will certainly pass on your praise and observations to all our staff departments, as this means so much to us all.
Dad has been in care at Kensington Care Home since November 2025 and has received excellent care. All the staff are wonderful and genuinely caring. They treat residents with dignity and respect and work very hard to create a warm and loving environment. The home is extremely clean, comfortable and well maintained and the staff are always approachable and more than happy to help with any concerns. Knowing Dad is safe, happy and well looked after gives us great peace of mind. Many thanks to everyone at Kensington.

Resident in Kensington Care Home since March 2025. Very well cared for with warmth and kindness. Staff excellent and always willing to help in this happy, comfortable home.
Thank you for taking the time to review the home. It means a lot for the staff team to receive such positive feedback, which I will share with them. We continue to work hard to ensure our residents have a meaningful and happy life at the Kensington
Re food: This needs improvement. Lack of fresh green vegetables throughout the week. Lots of 'beige' food and often pastry-based offers on. Sunday lunch does tend to be the best quality meal of the week. For the money chargd - the food needs to be much better.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the food. Your feedback about menu variety and the availability of...
First class on all levels. All staff are amazing and look after my relative with respect and care. Food is perfect for everyone's needs. Lots of activities to keep everyone's mind and body active.
Thank you for such a wonderful review, we really do value your feedback. We will pass on your kind words to staff from all departments. Please do pop in to see us if we can be of any further assistance.
Needing improvement: Food quality - more vegetables, greens, less beige food needed. Activities - consideration of residents who do not wish to join in group activities need more interaction in rooms.
Volunteers - appreciated.

We also appreciate your suggestions, feedback such as this helps us to continually...
With great thanks for the care of Eileen which is at a very high standard. The care home is unbelievable and the staff so caring, it has to be seen like a five-star hotel, and I am telling everyone. The meals are so nice and no one living here has a worry when they know what brilliant staff are here.
Thank you so much, for your kind words. We love having your wife with us here, we love seeing you every day and value your input and being part of our community.
Staff are always helpful, friendly and caring and happy to meet my mum requirements . The home is always clean and tidy and the rooms are well maintained. The food was well presented and very tasteful when we dined with my mother.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I am proud to support Kensington residents, relatives and staff
All staff very helpful and pleasant. Room was airy with access to outside.
thank you for review I will pass your kind words onto the staff team. It is a pleasure caring for your father.
Until the end of her life on 15/4/25. The care staff ensured she was well cared for until the end. We are grateful for the excellent care provided by all who work on the Penetin Unit at Kensington, very well led by the team leader of the unit.
Thank you and your family for the kind words, we hope you are all well. I will ensure the staff on Kipling and other departments are aware of your review.
I enjoy my visits to see my friend but as I'm only a guest I don't feel I can make much comment.
The family have been impressed with the way our requests & requirements have been taken into account leading to an optimum solution regarding the care of our Mother. She has always been happy at Kensington & relaxed, enjoying having her nails and hair done every week & other activities.
Thank you for your wonderful kind words, I will share this with the Kensington Team
We did extensive research in choosing a care home for Mum. Kensington was in a different league as compared to others we viewed in the Northallerton area and both our parents had ensured that there were sufficient funds available to obtain the best care. The facilities are akin to a 4-star hotel but the real standout was the staff. At every interaction over the course of Mum's respite stay, the staff, whether they were carers, housekeepers, or administrators, were incredibly caring and sympathetic. Unfortunately, our Mum did not stay with us long enough for her to take full advantage of the safe, comfortable, clean, and friendly environment at Kensington but I have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone looking to provide the very best for their loved one.
On behalf of the staff team may I thank you for your very kind words, which I will share with the staff team. Although Kensington team only cared for mum a short time it was a pleasure to meet your mum and her lovely family.
When visiting my very dear friend, I always find Kensington to be a lovely home. The staff are fantastic and look after her very well. It is so clean and tidy and very welcoming.
Thank you for your lovely words, I will of course share with the staff team regarding your visit with your dear friend at Kensington.
I am very impressed with the care given to my friend. The staff are friendly, empathetic and nothing is too much trouble. In particular, the house keeper at The Kensington Nursing Home has shown tremendous kindness and thoughtfulness.
Thank you for your review I am so pleased you are happy with the care provided we do pride ourselves on our friendly welcoming service.
The care received from the Kensington for my aunt was excellent throughout her entire time at the care home. She had loving care which was very reassuring as we live a long distance from the area.
A truly remarkable lady who it was a privilege to have known and indeed cared for she was loved by us all at Kensington.
The care our aunt received was very good indeed. She was looked after with care and love and empathy.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. Your Aunt was an amazing character and we are so very pleased we celebrated her Birthday of 103! memories of which will live on in kensington.
A large room with a well appointed ensuite bathroom. Staff are friendly, polite, respectful and very eager to help with any requests. There is flexibility around mealtimes, according to my needs. Housekeeping ensures I have all the equipment I need to make my stay comfortable. Staff regularly check in with me to see if I need anything. Kensington is my care home of choice for the excellent care they give with respect and dignity.
Thank you for your lovely feedback we are so pleased Kensington is your home of choice. We pride ourselves on our person centered approach.Respect and dignity are paramount at all times .
Mum is happy and comfortable, her safety is a priority and the food is amazing. It always looks so delicious. I can only say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
