My mother has been a resident for the last 18 months. She was treated with dignity, care and compassion throughout her stay in the Kipling Suite.
Until the end of her life on 15/4/25. The care staff ensured she was well cared for until the end. We are grateful for the excellent care provided by all
who work on the Penetin Unit at Kensington, very well led by the team leader of the unit.

Kensington Care Home is beautiful just like a cruise line I always feel on entering. My mum has had wonderful care within a lovely team, looking after her every need with great care & attention to detail.
The family have been impressed with the way our requests & requirements have been taken into account
leading to an optimum solution regarding the care of our Mother. She has always been happy at Kensington & relaxed, enjoying having her nails and hair done every week & other activities.

We did extensive research in choosing a care home for Mum. Kensington was in a different league as compared to others we viewed in the Northallerton area and both our parents had ensured that there were sufficient funds available to obtain the best care. The facilities are akin to a 4-star hotel but
the real standout was the staff. At every interaction over the course of Mum's respite stay, the staff, whether they were carers, housekeepers, or administrators, were incredibly caring and sympathetic. Unfortunately, our Mum did not stay with us long enough for her to take full advantage of the safe, comfortable, clean, and friendly environment at Kensington but I have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone looking to provide the very best for their loved one.

I am very impressed with the care given to my friend. The staff are friendly, empathetic and nothing is too much trouble. In particular, the house keeper at The Kensington Nursing Home has shown tremendous kindness and thoughtfulness.

A large room with a well appointed ensuite bathroom. Staff are friendly, polite, respectful and very eager to help with any requests. There is flexibility around mealtimes, according to my needs. Housekeeping ensures I have all the equipment I need to make my stay comfortable. Staff regularly check
in with me to see if I need anything. Kensington is my care home of choice for the excellent care they give with respect and dignity.

The care my Mother receives has been second to none. I can only thank the staff at Northallerton for the beautiful way they treat her. The home is spotlessly clean and tidy. The welcome we receive each day when visiting is lovely - nothing is too much, whatever our request, it is done.
Mum is happy
and comfortable, her safety is a priority and the food is amazing. It always looks so delicious. I can only say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

On the whole, the staff are great. They make my Dad feel special and treat him with respect and kindness.
His room is tidy and he loves watching the robins from his window.

We the family, are very happy with the treatment our Mother gets, she is always well-fed, warm, and comfortable, although she is not as mobile these days. We the family, are sure the staff will look after Mum as well as possible under the circumstances.

My friend is very happy and well cared for, she always gets cuddles from the friendly staff. She is settled and happy, warm and clean, and a joy. Well-fed and sociable. All we can ask for as she has dementia.

I feel confident that my husband is well cared for and has the relevant attention when needed when he has a visit to the care home. The staff and management are very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere in the care home is very relaxed and feels safe and friendly.

Visiting my relative in their care home has been an absolute joy! My sister-in-law has had the very best of care at all times and her health has improved tremendously over the months she has been here. The staff are lovely, so friendly and helpful. The home is a delight, so clean and well cared for.

My Father-in-law moved into Kensington Care Home for respite care and remained there for 4 months. During this time he made several friends and was made very welcome - so much so he was sad to leave.
The home is immaculate and very comfortable. The management and staff are fabulous and no one could
do enough to help and support my Father-in-law.
I would fully recommend this home to anyone looking for respite as full-time care.

The staff are extremely friendly and they are always pleasant to my mother. The housekeeping team does an excellent job of looking after the building and it's always a pleasure to visit. On the occasions when I have to escort my mother to an appointment off-site they always make sure she is ready and
waiting. The food is very good quality with a wide and continually varied choice. At 100 years old my mother couldn't be in better hands. I would thoroughly recommend the Kensington in Northallerton.
