Kensington Care Home

A large room with a well appointed ensuite bathroom. Staff are friendly, polite, respectful and very eager to help with any requests. There is flexibility around mealtimes, according to my needs. Housekeeping ensures I have all the equipment I need to make my stay comfortable. Staff regularly check in with me to see if I need anything. Kensington is my care home of choice for the excellent care they give with respect and dignity.

Mum is happy and comfortable, her safety is a priority and the food is amazing. It always looks so delicious. I can only say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The carers always made us feel very welcome. They are very kind and the food is perfect. The rooms are lovely and his view is good.

His room is tidy and he loves watching the robins from his window.

We the family, are very happy with the treatment our Mother gets, she is always well-fed, warm, and comfortable, although she is not as mobile these days. We the family, are sure the staff will look after Mum as well as possible under the circumstances.

My friend is very happy and well cared for, she always gets cuddles from the friendly staff. She is settled and happy, warm and clean, and a joy. Well-fed and sociable. All we can ask for as she has dementia.

I feel confident that my husband is well cared for and has the relevant attention when needed when he has a visit to the care home. The staff and management are very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere in the care home is very relaxed and feels safe and friendly.

Visiting my relative in their care home has been an absolute joy! My sister-in-law has had the very best of care at all times and her health has improved tremendously over the months she has been here. The staff are lovely, so friendly and helpful. The home is a delight, so clean and well cared for. Nothing is too much trouble. Top marks!

The staff are extremely friendly and they are always pleasant to my mother. The housekeeping team does an excellent job of looking after the building and it's always a pleasure to visit. On the occasions when I have to escort my mother to an appointment off-site they always make sure she is ready and waiting. The food is very good quality with a wide and continually varied choice. At 100 years old my mother couldn't be in better hands. I would thoroughly recommend the Kensington in Northallerton.

My friend and I visit Kensington usually once a month. We have found all the staff extremely helpful and very cheerful at all times. Our friend that we visit says that she is well looked after and is very happy at Kensington.

All the staff are very welcoming when I come to visit my friend. They are always polite and courteous, nothing I ever too much trouble.

The home is superb. The environment is very pleasing and kept in an excellent condition. The home manager cares about her residents/staff and all visitors, she is excellent, she has strong leadership and very well suited to her role as home manager, likewise her deputy. All the staff are pleasant and make a good team. All the residents' needs and wants are met. I enjoy coming to visit.

My mother came for a 'holiday' whilst we were away. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay and looks forward to her next 'holiday'.

I have visited many care homes throughout my working career and The Kensington outpasses them all by 300%. The staff are amazing, so caring to clients and visitors alike. We have been made to feel like part of the "Family". We will be back to visit and of course I will bring Willow. I know my sister-in-law will miss you all tremendously.

My friend has been in this care home now two years. I find the staff extremely helpful. The manager is so approachable to residents, families and friends. The cleaners are also lovely. I definitely would recommend this care home to families. It's clean and always a good selection on the menu.

The Kingston Care Home is excellent and my friend is very happy and so well looked after. She is cared for by the caring staff - nothing is too much trouble - the care home is extremely well run by the manager and very clean. I am a retired trained nurse and if needs be I would choose the Kensington.

Feel as a full-paying resident it is very expensive.

The staff at the Kensington are really wonderful, all friendly, helpful and attentive. My father is really well looked after even though she has dementia. The food is fantastic and my father looks forward to his meals. The staff always seem very active and provide a wide range of activities for my father to do we well as all the care he needs. If I could pick out one individual it would be this particular member of staff who seems to be able to give that extra touch all the time!
