I am a Registered Nurse, having qualified in 1980. After a 20-year career in the NHS, I moved to the private sector and the field of care home management. I have a wealth of experience in this area and am passionate about improving the care we provide to older people, and in particular those living with a dementia related illness. Read less

I have worked in the care industry for over 12 years, beginning my career as a Care Assistant and working my way up through a variety of roles. This journey has given me valuable hands-on experience and a strong understanding of the importance of delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

I hold an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, and before joining the team, I worked as a Registered Manager of a domiciliary care service. This role gave me extensive experience in leading and supporting care teams, maintaining high standards, and ensuring that the people we care for remain at the heart of everything we do.

As Deputy Manager, I am passionate about supporting both our residents and our team. I believe in creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel safe, respected and valued, and where staff feel supported and encouraged to develop.

I am a dedicated and passionate Unit Manager with many years of experience working within the care sector. I began my career in care at the age of 16 and have continued to develop my knowledge, skills and experience throughout my career.

I have worked at Kensington for the past six years, where I started as a Carer before progressing to Senior Carer and then to my current position as Unit Manager. This progression has given me valuable experience across different roles and a strong understanding of the importance of providing compassionate, person-centred care.

I am the Business Administrator at Kensington and have been part of the team for over four years.

I began my career after leaving university, working in a support role within the Training Department at North Yorkshire Police. I later moved into the Adult Social Care sector, taking on a Business Support role with Skills for Care. During my time there, I gained a valuable understanding of the wide range of organisations, roles and career pathways that make up the complex Social Care sector.

I now have over twelve years’ experience working in business support roles within the Care Sector. Throughout my career, I have developed a wealth of knowledge and experience that I bring to my role at Kensington, helping to support the smooth and effective running of the organisation. Read less

I have been part of the Kensington team for the past five years, working as a Hostess. With over 26 years of experience in hospitality, I have always loved working with people and making them feel welcome and cared for.

Before joining Kensington, I worked as a manager of a café and bakery in Bedale, a role I really enjoyed. I have a genuine interest in getting to know people and love building relationships with our residents and their families.

I’m a warm, friendly and caring person, and I take great pride in helping to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where our residents feel valued and respected. I especially enjoy making mealtimes a pleasant and enjoyable part of their day.
