My mum has been in The Royal three months now. We wasn't t sure what to expect at first and it was quite overwhelming, but I can't tell you just how pleased me and my family are. It is like one big family. The staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble, day or night. The home is run really
well and there is always somebody around to chat to. It has honestly give me peace of mind knowing that mum is being looked after, kept clean, and eating very well-she loves her food! Activities are great if you want to participate and she loves having her hair and nails done. Thank you to everyone.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum was only here for 5 yours before she became v aggressive with staff and residents,, the manager was very professional and was able to calm her and realised that she needed specialist medical care that had not been assessed or addressed at her previous home. The care home rang for an ambulance
and she was admitted to hospital.
Our family are very grateful for the understanding care and professional, non judgemental attitude of the care home manager and staff, and would like,e to praise the home for their management of mums condition , it was their swift intervention in getting mum into hospital where she was assessed ,which led to her ultimately being placed in a home that could safely manage her complex needs.
Reply from Tracey Oliver, Home Manager at St James CourtThankyou so much, can i just say it was a pleasure meeting you all and getting to know you all in such a short amount of time, i just wish things could have turned out a little different for you all, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. I'm glad your mum was able to receive the care she deserved. And has a family we want to wish you all the best in the future. If your ever passing please don't hesitate to pop in for a cuppa and a chat. I will be sure to pass on your gratitude to all the staff.

My Dad was able to take a booking for a vacancy prior to it being needed it as he was in emergency care home, which was a big relief to me and my sister as this home is very close to our mum and dads house.. Since being at Westroyd he has settled in well with the help of Andrea and Sharon. They have,
along with the rest of care team been very responsive to his needs especially with his mind state and his diabetes along with the maintenance gents who have put up bookcases and made his room more personal. It was nice to see all the different activities over the Christmas period which he participated in a lot of the singing. He is fed well and I have no concerns with his care going forward.

My mum was in Highgrove Care Home for the last 15 days of her life, and I cannot praise the care and compassion shown to her by your carers and staff. I and my family thank you from the bottom of our hearts and will recommend your care home to all my friends.

We find the home very friendly and welcoming; staff are always friendly with a. Smile. If we have a question they always try to find an answer. Mum mostly is in a good mood only occasionally is a bit down but this is due to her condition rather then anything else. Over all we are very happy with everything
thanks.

Since my dad moved into Westroyd at the beginning of December as a family, we have been more than happy with the care he has received. The staff are all very welcoming when visiting, and nothing is too much trouble. My dad seems to have settled in very well and is happy, which is all we can ask for.

I visit several times during the week, the team are always welcoming and friendly and there is always someone to speak to. Mum is happy and settled with a comfortable and spacious bedroom. She is patiently & respectfully supported because all the team take the time to know and understand the residents,
allowing them to tailor individual needs. I am very happy that Mum is getting the best care. Visiting hours are very flexible and i am always greeted with a cheery welcome. It really is a home not just a residence.

Mum continues to be looked after in a very caring and supportive manner. She enjoys her time here and gets along with other residents. She looks forward to mealtimes and comments how delicious the food is, I can vouch for this as I enjoyed Christmas dinner with her!

His care from the staff was respectful, and he enjoyed his female hareem!

Windsor Court Care Home

My father became a resident at Windsor Court after being moved from another care home that was no longer able to meet his needs. From the very beginning, the difference was remarkable. Every time we visited, we were warmly greeted by staff - something that stood in stark contrast to our previous experience,
where we often felt overlooked.
While no care home can ever be perfect, especially when supporting residents with such varied and complex needs, the team at Windsor Court do an exceptional job. The atmosphere is caring, respectful, and genuinely welcoming. The food always looked and smelled wonderful too - sadly, I never got to sample it myself!
Most importantly, they cared for my dad not just as a resident, but as a person. He was treated with kindness, dignity, and warmth - very much like how a close group of friends would look after one another.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Windsor Court wholeheartedly.

My relative came in for restbite and she had the most wonderful time, staff, food, cleanliness are second to none. Annie will certainly return hopefully in the near future. I'm nearly 70 and I certainly would love to come to be treated like a queen. Lance the manager made us feel welcome from the moment
we came through the door as did all the staff. Thank you, sad to leave.
