I have nothing but praise for this care home. All the staff are really caring and helpful. I have cared for my friend for the last 8 years, as I promised her I would not put her in a care home, as you hear so many stories; however, how wrong I was Holyrood House is a beautiful home and the staff make
it wonderful, you are never made to feel like a burden when you ask the same questions over again. I hope that when I'm older, I can be looked after at Holyrood House.

Claremont House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My brother passed away very recently but the care and consideration demonstrated by the staff at Claremont during his residency was a credit to them selves and the organisation. The issue of dealing with his affairs in relation to the care home was stress free and very accommodating as I live 5 hours
drive away from Beverley.
It was always obvious he was treated with dignity and affection.
His wife, my sister in law, is still resident in the dementia unit and she also has the same care and consideration.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
All the staff go above and beyond including coming in on their days off to visit or sit with residents. There is a real sense of extended family. It's a real pleasure to visit relatives who are resident - both mum (first) and now dad living there. We know that my parents are safe and being well looked
after. Rooms are well appointed and modern. The Wi-Fi could be much improved and is probably the only significant improvement that could made; it makes it difficult to stay connected when we live so far away.
Both my parents enjoy the catering with varied menus and treats which makes life and them feel special. There is even a pub just for residents on site too and activities linked to that.
Reply from Allison Gill, Manager at Osborne House

My Uncle was in The Royal for about 22 weeks.
In that time he received excellent care and felt very safe and loved by everyone he met.
My Auntie spent a lot of time at The Royal during this time and visited him most days, she was made to feel very welcome and cared for, often staying to share a meal
with my Uncle.
Everyone was so kind and considerate of my Uncle and Aunts needs, we were all made to feel very welcome. We will miss our visits.

My Dad has used St James several times for respite and has always been well looked after and is happy there. He has recently been accepted for full time residency now and we remain very happy with his care, staff are all very friendly and love my dad and always willing to assist us with any queries.
Dad can't speak highly enough of the quality of staff, the care he receives, the food especially the gravy. We are very happy with his care and good to see him happy in his new surroundings.

A lovely, clean, friendly care home with excellent staff. The rooms are nicely furnished and there are plenty of activities for the residents to get involved in if they wish. All the staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend.

Very clean care home, great staff all working very hard! My mum is very well looked after in this place, good food and lots of activities for her to take part in. Trips and outings arranged for her as well as the local hairdresser who comes in to make her feel great!

Everything is good, my mother is well looked after. Always clean and tidy, the staff are great. The food is very good, good selection of meals. The kitchen always looks clean and organised. Home is managed well, and activities are arranged for residents.

Beaumont House

We moved Mum to Beaumont in June 2025 after having a very poor experience at another care home. I can honestly say from the moment I contacted Beaumont and met with the management team to discuss Mum's care needs to the moment we left after mum sadly passed away we have had outstanding care for Mum
and for the family and friends.
The whole team from day one have been professional but also friendly and welcoming and have become like family. Everyone from the housekeeping and admin staff, catering staff, maintenance staff, carers and nurses and management have been incredible. Mum has been cared for with dignity, respect and most importantly love.
Sadly Mum deteriorated quickly with health in the last month. The team have been incredible at adapting to her changing needs, recognising when things were different and proactively ensuring her rapidly changes needs were met. Also liaising with me and keeping us informed. I truly cannot express how special this team are. Thank you all.

The home itself is beautiful - the staff are all very friendly & caring - taking time to get to know mum & ensure her needs are met. mum is very settled & we have noticed a positive change in her since attending Goldsborough Manor. She is enjoying the social interaction & is more physically active -
it is a huge relief to see her so comfortable & happy.
