The staff were amazing, everyone I met was happy to be there, supporting the residents and created an atmosphere of warm and welcoming, geniune care
There were some stand out people, and they know who they are, thank you
It was lovely to have

Overall Dads care was always kind and compassionate at Astley Hall , in his final days he was was cared for on the nursing floor I would of preferred Dad to stay on the Residential floor where his regular careers were but I fully understand the reason as Dad needed regular medication administered
to keep him comfortable .
His final day was very calm pain free and peaceful and the staff treated dad with care and respect and dignity.

In the 14 months that Dad was a resident my main area for improvement and development would be communication between staff regarding some of Dads personal needs, hearing aids ,Teeth ,and grooming and monitoring of his diabetes .

Reply from Sally Parsons, Business Manager at Astley Hall Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry for your loss and appreciate your kind words about the care and compassion shown by the team during your father's time with us, particularly in his final days. It means a great deal to know that he was treated with dignity and respect.

We also value your constructive comments regarding communication around some of your father's personal needs. Feedback like this is important and will be shared with the team so we can continue to improve communication and monitoring.
Thank you again for recognising the dedication of our staff and for helping us improve the service we provide.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff for the excellent care provided to our dad. His first stay was over Christmas and New Year, and it was wonderful to see a smile on his face during that time. After an extended stay in hospital, he returned for a second stay during which he sadly
passed away.

Throughout both visits, the team were compassionate, attentive, and professional. They treated him with dignity and kindness, always keeping him comfortable and providing reassurance to our family. He particularly enjoyed the food, especially the trifle!

As for value for money, while funding your own care at Astley Hall is expensive, it is no more costly than other care homes we looked at.

Thank you for everything you did for our dad - it truly made a difficult time more bearable.

The care home has really helped Dad adapt to his new life. The team are warm, friendly and very caring. They work with every resident individually, but they always try to keep everyone entertained and looked after. The entertainments are varied and in just a few months Dad has been to Pantomime, a concert
and there's even been wine tasting! Thank you to everyone!

My mother moved into Clarendon House at the end of September 2025 to be nearer to me and because she needed more care than in her own home and we have not been disappointed. The manager and assistant manager are caring, friendly and professional and the carers who look after my mother are kind, patient
and knowledgeable. Other support staff, food, drinks and activities are thoughtful and kind. I cannot be more delighted with everything in this care home.
Reply from Shiva Sheikholeslami, Home Manager at Clarendon HouseDear Jenny,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such kind feedback. It is wonderful to know that your mother's move to Clarendon House has been a positive experience for both of you.
We are very grateful for your support and trust in us, and we look forward to continuing to care for your mother.

I can highly recommend Holyrood House for the dedicated care they gave to my father in his final weeks of life. The staff are skilled, professional and friendly in sometimes challenging situations. Their patience and understanding of individual needs is exceptional and at the very end they were supportive
of the family too. Communication was regular as the situation changed and this enabled us to sit with Dad in his final hours. Our thanks go out to everyone involved in his admission and care.

My Aunt has been in the Care home for around 2.5 months initially for 10 Days respite and due to her health we've needed to keep extending her stay. As a family, we know she is safe in the care home, is well looked after physically and there's a great program of enriching activities for her to join
if she would like to. The care team are fantastic and from the moment we arrived at the care home (7pm on a cold dark rainy evening) my Aunt and all family members always receive a warm welcome. It's a lovely care home where the carers really do care for their residents, thank you for all you do.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
All the staff have been exceptional from the managers, carers, handyman, nothing too much trouble. All changes eg mattress, lighting, room orientation completed immediately on request. Food excellent - according to mum. Not one carer has shown anything but regard & good intentions - this is the 3rd
home mum has been in for respite and definitely the best. One downside - activities, not stimulating enough & quite weak what about a whist club/card playing more arts & crafts less sing songs & natter sessions more stimulation.

From our first contact to our last we were shown nothing but kindness and compassion by everyone who works at Beaumont House. My mum came in as a very old (99 years) and ill person. The nurseing and care from the carers was exemplery. The food and catering facilitys were very good. This went as far
as giving my father who sat for 6hrs a day with her meals and cake, biscuits & drinks. I cannot praise the home & staff to highley. Many thanks for all your help and compassion. I would highley recommend Beaumont House.
