Very well run care home with good attentive staff. I have always felt very welcome when visiting my brother. My brother always look well, clean and shaved on my visits.
My only concern is the drive down the the main driveway which needs some attention.

Dad has been a resident at Westroyd for approximately 18months . He seems happy and content which I put down to the staff. The staff are always approachable and respond to family requests. The building is tired and the move to new premises can't come soon enough.

Would like a spacer chair as the wheelchair no longer feels safe, and at the moment it feels like he's confined to the bedroom.
Dad doesn't like much of the food but that's more personal preference so we often bring him his favourites.
They could do with more staff as often needs a drink as he's not capable of helping him self they do the best they can with the resources they have.
love the hair salon and the lovely ladies that are constantly dressing up to bring a smile to the residents:)

My mother has been with The Royal Care home for a number of years now , the love , care and compassion they show to her goes above and beyond from Hailey the home manager , Julie accounts manager, Hailey admin manager , mckenzie supervisor nurse ,to name but a few of the kind staff here , we as a family can not Thank them all enough for what they do everyday for our relative , the meals are outstanding, the cleanliness , the days out and entertainment that they provide is humbling to watch as they treat loved ones as one of their own, nothing is ever too much x it's frightening to have to placed any loved one into any care home as it did to our own family when we had to sadly let our own relative go into one, but with the Royal your loved one will be forever loved , safe and cared for above and beyond expectations. Goldsborough Manor is a beautifully presented home with excellent facilities set in lovely gardens. For me though, what makes it outstanding has been the superb care given to my husband who was in the late stage of his illness. The staff team have been so supportive to myself and our friends who have visited regularly during the last 6 months.
I am so pleased to have found this home and I will be forever grateful to Lance and his team. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to other families.

Visiting my auntie at The Royal Care Home, the staff are friendly and very helpful. My auntie's room is always very clean, the staff are lovely with her; considerate, and helpful always. They do plenty of activities, which my auntie likes to be invovled, and doing. She loves having her hair done at the hairdressers and having her nails done. Also there is a lovely lady serving tea, coffee, etc and biscuits that comes around quite often.
