Mum is well cared for and appears happy, she is encouraged to participate in activities and go out to the gardens when weather permits, she loves the outdoors, and nature. All the staff
are very helpful, and friendly and very caring. The home is very clean in fact spotless with lots of areas in which to integrate with other people. As a family we are very satisfied with the home.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My grandma has been in Kensington for 12 months now. The care by the staff - all staff - has been absolutely fantastic. They go the extra mile, particularly Angela, Nina, Sarah (kitchen) and Heather (kitchen).
Needing improvement: Food quality - more vegetables, greens, less beige food needed. Activities
- consideration of residents who do not wish to join in group activities need more interaction in rooms.
Volunteers - appreciated.

My husband has had one day a week respite care at Claremont House for over a year now and overnight or short term stays when required. He recently had a nine night stay to enable me to have a holiday. The staff know him well adn he always gets a warm welcome. He enjoys the chat and the banter and he
enjoys joining in with the activities. He has very complex needs and is not easy but the staff show great patience and understanding and give him time. A highlight of his stay was the tasting session to give opinions on the new menu.

St James Court Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
As soon as we walked in to our first visit at st James we felt a warmth of welcome from all the team, and we really felt we had found the right place for mum.
Tracy and the team could not have done more to welcome mum, support her in personalising her room, welcoming her to activities and recognising
and providing her preferences and care/medical needs in a joined up way.
They have answered all our questions and welcomed our visits.
We cannot recommend st James highly enough as a warm, caring and professional care home where we can relax knowing mum is in safe hands (and mum feels like she's on a five star holiday!)

My aunt has been a resident at the home for the best part of a year. When she arrived she was in a poor state of health with both digestive problems and serious bed sores following a period of care at home. She was well looked after and rapidly recovered. Although she wishes that she could return a
home we know that this is not possible as she would rapidly return to the state she was in when she arrive. The 24hr care/assistance that the home has provided has enabled her to remain healthy and comfortable in a room that is accessible to the gardens.
We do not live in Grantham and the care and communication provided has given us peace of mind.

My Mom has been at the home since the very first day it opened and we have seen some incredible changes. The staff give a 110% to their chosen profession. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is amazing, cleanliness is perfect. Activities are always busy trying to create something new to do and even though
some residents like Mom cannot join in, they are very happy to watch others and she laughs away with everyone else. Even family members are treated like part of the family and encouraged to join in. Since our care home manager Dimpho joined the home there have been a lot of changes and these are for the better. All staff, residents and family members all seem very happy with the improvements. Well done Astley Hall, you're amazing.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
I went to Belvedere House from hospital having had two operations which left me needing care to recover well enough to go home and cope by myself. I needed a lot of help from the care staff and they were always respectful, friendly and kind. I had a lovely room which was kept very clean by the housekeeping
staff. The food was varied, with a choice and usually well cooked. With the help and patience of all the staff I gradually became more independent and after six weeks was able to come home and look after myself at home. I would recommend Belvedere House to anyone looking for a care home for short stay or permanent residence.

My mum has been with Clarance House (through Alzheimers and Dementia) since March 2024. She has always appeared to us as healthy and well looked after. She always comments the staff are friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them. She enjoys the food in the restraunt and has made some friends
through the interactive activities she plays with other residents driven by the staff. They also take them on occasion visits out, the latest been Cusworth Park for the day. The rooms are always clean and cleaning is on show daily, in fact it's hard to remember a single visit in which cleaning was not taking place. They have a hairdresser come into the home, which my mum loves, to allow her to still feel pride in her appearance. Honestly, for the money - it's incredible value compared to other homes at double the rate and above.

My Mother is a first-time resident in a nursing home and naturally as a family we were worried about her handling the change between independent living and the care home environment.
Since we arrived, they have made her feel so welcome and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
Truthfully, the
staff here are extremely caring. From Management to Nurses, Carers, Maintenance, Cooks, Cleaners - every person we've interacted with have been supportive, caring and sympathetic to my Mum's needs.
The Chef came and sat on her bed to understand her dietary preferences. They've offered her haircuts and manicures, bought her ice from the shop (Mackenzie) and other items to help with her general comfort. The nurses stay on top of pain relief and react quickly when something needs adjusting.
Our family would recommend The Royal to others in need of wrap around care based on our experience so far.
Thank you to everyone mentioned above - you know who you are!

Happy to see my mum take care of. Even though she finds personal hygiene very difficult, everyone is patient and understanding with her. We never thought she would settle away from home but thanks to all the staff she is doing fine.

The care my aunt gets is second to none in my opinion. And long may it last . But the system in place to pay the care homes are very slow and no fault to the care home, for instance I was not granted depurdyships for
1 year why.
Reply from Lindsay Price, Regional Manager at Clarence House Care HomeThank you so much for you positive feedback about your Aunt's care at Clarence House Care Home. I will share this with the staff who always work hard to deliver the highest standards of care at all times.
I also appreciate that at times legal matters can take a long time and this can be very frustrating and the Manager/Administrator are always happy to help with this in any way they can.
