We are deeply sorry your respite experience did not meet all expectations in all areas, and we do understand from your feedback that coming into care was not your personal choice. It might be helpful for us to explain that we feel that referring to fellow residents as inmates is not an appropriate reference; this is a respectful, caring community, and this reference to others living in Astley Hall does not reflect the atmosphere and facilities we strive to maintain. We wish to sincerely thank you for recognising that you felt the care provided at Astley Hall was good.
We are very sorry to hear about your experience at Astley Hall during your father's stay in April 2024. Please accept our sincere apologies.We want to reassure you that this is not reflective of the standard of care we strive to provide to our residents. The wellbeing and dignity of those in our care remain our highest priorities. Our management team is always available to listen and address any concerns families may have. Tracey has been in the health and social care sector for 28 years and has worked in multiple management roles and worked her way up the career ladder starting as a care assistant. Tracey has several qualifications and is very passionate about good quality care.
Tracey enjoys spending time with her 3 grandchildren which takes up most of her spare time.
I have worked as a BA for over 10 years and have a vast knowledge of dealing with Staff, Residents and Relatives, building good relationships with them all.
Every day is different in this role, and it is a privilege to support families and to see residents enjoying our home.
My background is within Community Nursing caring for end-of-life patients and those with complex long-term health conditions. More recently, I have worked as a Charge Nurse caring for patients with Neurological conditions such as acquired brain injuries, Dementia with challenging behaviour, Huntington's and Parkinson's Disease."
Andrea has worked in care since 1989 before qualifying as a registered Nurse in 1993. Since qualifying Andrea has worked in various nursing settings including those with neurological conditions. She comes with lots of clinical experience.
