Overall Experience
My father became a resident at Windsor Court after being moved from another care home that was no longer able to meet his needs. From the very beginning, the difference was remarkable. Every time we visited, we were warmly greeted by staff - something that stood in stark contrast to our previous experience, where we often felt overlooked.
While no care home can ever be perfect, especially when supporting residents with such varied and complex needs, the team at Windsor Court do an exceptional job. The atmosphere is caring, respectful, and genuinely welcoming. The food always looked and smelled wonderful too - sadly, I never got to sample it myself!
Most importantly, they cared for my dad not just as a resident, but as a person. He was treated with kindness, dignity, and warmth - very much like how a close group of friends would look after one another.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Windsor Court wholeheartedly.

When I visit my brother I always find that all areas are very clean and all areas very quiet with staff around constantly. My brother is always made comfortable where ever he may be on my visits, which I may add are not know to the staff. He always looks clean and at ease whatever the time. I find all the staff very caring and the whole set up is extremely relaxed. I can only add that everything is very good.

I wish to express comments for the activities coordinator. When we visited again this week, he was very polite and friendly. Explained how activities in the home worked and was going to bring a snooker table to our friend. Our friend was a snooker champion! Impressed by his professionalism and enthusiasm. A pleasure to talk to and a credit to your home!

DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY.
My mother was placed here to allow my father respite, within 2 hours of being here, my mother went missing. A staff member had opened a double door pin pad system and allowed my mother to leave. There was a police search and my mother was found 3 hours later. The staff do not care at this facility, the care home manager does not care. This facility should not be allowed to exist. The complaints procedure is an absolute joke.

Please please do not use this home. If I could rate this home in minus figures I would.

Overall Experience
My sister was brought to Windsor Court in January after a long illness in hospital.
When she entered home she was underweight, distressed and confused due to her condition and lacked confidence.
The staff were brilliant they went out of their way to support her. The results so far have been amazing.
My sister is now a healthy weight and has gained so much confidence which is allowing her to do more things for herself.
She is also interacting with other residents so doesn't feel lonely as she has people to talk to her when she wants it.
The staff have worked miracles and managed to get my sister to take her medication on time, without objection which the hospital and family struggled to do as she got so upset. This is improving all aspects of her health. As a family we can see that my sister is being valued, treated with dignity.

I really want the staff at this home to be recognised as they work very hard and always have time for us and residents thank you so much!

My father was resident at Windsor Court for two years before he died. The staff were brilliant and managed really well in often challenging circumstances. Special mention to one staff member in particular who was always so friendly and kind. Thank you to the team for your care for my Dad.

My mother spent the last two weeks of her life at Windsor Court. She was treated with care and respect from day one. I love the way the staff speak to the residents, with humour and affection. I could not have asked for a better place. I knew she was safe and the staff listened to my questions and concerns and addressed each one, keeping me up to date with any changes in Mum's condition. I'm very grateful for the care staff, nurses, admin and management. A wonderful team.

Review from Joan G (Partner of Resident) published on 31 January 2025 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My partner is a lot happier now he is in a different room. He used to get very annoyed as residents kept going into his room and taking his belongings. He had no privacy because no lock on bedroom door, this caused a few fights which I was very concerned about as he is very unsteady on his legs and frail. So myself and partner more settled.

The staff that looked after my husband for his 2 weeks of respite were amazing, very patient and understanding of his needs. I was able to have peace of mind that he was being well looked after. One particular member of staff went out of his way to play some of my husband's favourite music on his phone. Would highly recommend Windsor Court and helpfully they have a bed available for future respite. So a big thank you to you all.

Staff are very good with Mum and I know they really care about her. The home is always clean and warm. I am impressed that since Mum went into Windsor Court in March 2023, she has deteriorated and Mum's care reflects this change (deterioration due to illness). They have activities and Mum gets her hair done by the hairdresser and the chiropractor visits regularly. They have also invested in new mattresses and a new lift.

My mother is a resident at Windsor Court for approximately 3 years. The care and support that is provided to her is first-class. I am here to visit regularly and the food and cleanliness of both my mum and home our first class. The care is amazing and also a big support to myself. I live in Scotland and I'm kept up to date on any changes to my mum's health and well-being. The carriers are a real support and very caring to all residents. This is a wonderful home and have no hesitation in recommending Windsor Court to other new residents.
