After having Mum in a different nursing home, I found Goldsborough Manor was so much nicer and the whole experience for Mum good. Soon saw Mum was a lot happier and settled. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. All the staff are brilliant wtih Mum.

Must say the staff and carers have been brilliant, can't recommend the home enough. The gardens are lovely and everyone keeps you updated to what is going on with care with mum. After moving mum from another home I must give 10/10 for Goldsborough Manor.

Since Mum has arrived at Goldsborough Manor she has been much happier. First time we have seen her smile for a few months. Carers are kind, gentle and compassionate. It has been lovely to see Mum joining in some activities. The meals I have eaten with mum have been very tasty and presented to restaurant
standard. The accommodation is beautiful and everywhere is kept clean and well presented.

We have been very impressed with the home in the month mum has been here. The staff are unfailingly kind and helpful, always treating mum with consideration and respect. We can pop in and see her anytime, sharing meals in the home cafe with her. The home is welcoming with interesting activities mum

Goldsborough is a loving warm, caring environment. I would move in myself. My mum is well taken care of which puts my mind at rest. She has been so happy here and has met friends which is brilliant for my mum's well being. All the staff are lovely and so caring. They treat my mum with dignity and feel
part of the family. The only thing I have noticed there is a plumbing issues in my mums bedroom. This however does not affect her care.

In the first week (and most likely to be the hardest) my mum felt at ease and was very well cared for. She seems to have settled in very quick, because of the kindness, care and attention to detail of the new arrivals.
The standards of the manor are very high and it feels like a very expensive hotel.
I do like the fact there are activities and event done daily and I would further encourage that, to stimulate the residents. Excellent job!

One of my friends has a relative here, and I occasionally visit with him. The home has only just recently opened, and we recently had a meal which was fantastic, as all the staff are smiling faces everywhere. The layout of the building and tidiness are great, and I loved the bar area.

It is such a beautiful place. The facilities are excellent and the staff are so friendly and supportive of grandma. The food and drink (coffee morning) were exceptional. The garden is beautiful too and grandma has settled in really well.

I enjoyed a week's respite at a lovely care home with staff who attended everybody's needs. The rooms were clean and well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful. It did not feel like a care home but a luxury hotel with modern furniture.

We moved Mum from another residential home and the transformation in mum was amazing. She became more sociable and was able to join in the many activities offered to her. Mums appetite improved with the beautiful food being offered to her. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always happy to discuss
and elevate any concerns we have concerning mums move to her new home. I feel we made the right decision to move mum, just wish we had done it sooner.

Goldsborough Manor is such a beautiful place. Everytime I have visited the rooms are full of smiles and laughter from both staff and residents alike. This almost certainly contributes to the happiness and wellbeing of my father-in-law and his new friends. The whole place is spotlessly clean, the food
is first class and there is so much space for people to relax, take part in activities (even having a glass of wine and a newspaper in the gardens)! Thank you for taking so much care of my father-in-law!

I have worked in care and support for almost 19 years. Starting in Extra Care retirement villages and moving into premier care homes for large corporate companies.


I am privileged to have been working for Crown Care Group for nearly 4 years, we are a family-owned and operated business who are really passionate about the care and support we deliver to our residents. I have always strived to deliver a world-class service to the residents and staff within my care, ensuring they feel secure and well cared for in our beautiful care home in Strensall. I look forward to welcoming you to this outstanding property.

Hello, my name is Nicola and qualified as a registered adult nurse in 2006, after completing a 3-year diploma course at the University of York. I worked as a nurse up until June 2024, when I made the decision to move from the NHS into a care home setting. I had a varied career working as a nurse, from ward work at York Hospital to community nursing in a rural area, a urology specialist nurse and most recently a matron covering acute medicine.
