We are very pleased with how quickly my mother has settled since her arrival two months ago. She has always been independent and this continues to be respected. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and approachable. We feel my mother's care needs are being met and that she is in safe hands.

My Dad was able to take a booking for a vacancy prior to it being needed it as he was in emergency care home, which was a big relief to me and my sister as this home is very close to our mum and dads house.. Since being at Westroyd he has settled in well with the help of Andrea and Sharon. They have,
along with the rest of care team been very responsive to his needs especially with his mind state and his diabetes along with the maintenance gents who have put up bookcases and made his room more personal. It was nice to see all the different activities over the Christmas period which he participated in a lot of the singing. He is fed well and I have no concerns with his care going forward.

We find the home very friendly and welcoming; staff are always friendly with a. Smile. If we have a question they always try to find an answer. Mum mostly is in a good mood only occasionally is a bit down but this is due to her condition rather then anything else. Over all we are very happy with everything

Since my dad moved into Westroyd at the beginning of December as a family, we have been more than happy with the care he has received. The staff are all very welcoming when visiting, and nothing is too much trouble. My dad seems to have settled in very well and is happy, which is all we can ask for.

I visit several times during the week, the team are always welcoming and friendly and there is always someone to speak to. Mum is happy and settled with a comfortable and spacious bedroom. She is patiently & respectfully supported because all the team take the time to know and understand the residents,
allowing them to tailor individual needs. I am very happy that Mum is getting the best care. Visiting hours are very flexible and i am always greeted with a cheery welcome. It really is a home not just a residence.

Mum continues to be looked after in a very caring and supportive manner. She enjoys her time here and gets along with other residents. She looks forward to mealtimes and comments how delicious the food is, I can vouch for this as I enjoyed Christmas dinner with her!

I would like to thank Westroyd from the bottom of my heart for the care they gave my Grandma. Sadly Grandma didn't get much time to create many memories here. But in the time spent at Westroyd she was shown nothing but love, dignity, care and respect. The home has a very special team who genuinely
care about all the residents and my Grandma was cared for from her first day to her last.

I am always greeted with a lovely smile. The staff are kind and caring, but as I can only visit once a week and always mid-morning, I have no idea about activities or facilities.

Our experience of Westroyds has been absolutely fantastic. The care and support given to the residents and to their families is above and beyond. They have helped and supported us through a very traumatic time and helped to alleviate our worries and concerns. We love the feel to the place the moment
you walk through the door as it is extremely cheerful, bright, great music and a warm greeting. They get to know the people they are looking after and share any concerns with the residents families. The management is superb and we couldn't wish for a better place to look after our brother/ brother in law.

My dad went into Westroyd in December. I cannot fault the staff. Dad could be challenging but the care and compassion given to him was second to none. He was always clean and well fed. All of the staff treated him with the utmost respect and engaged with him all the time. 10 out of 10. Unfortunately
my dad passed away on Sunday surrounded by staff who made his last few days comfortable and gave him dignity in death. Highly recommend Westroyd. Thanks all.

Dad has continued to receive the high level of care and respect from the staff, which has been unwavering since his first day. The staff always have a friendly smile when visiting. The food continues to be of a high standard and with a varied menu each week.

I'd like to thank all the staff for looking after mum. They do a great job in looking after my mum in lots of ways. If my mum is unwell at anytime they call a doctor to visit which then I know they are really looking after her.Nothing is to much trouble.

Dad looked very well when we visited him. The staff are very friendly and nothing is ever too much for them. The manager always has her door open and I always pop by to say hello and ask how my dad has been. They are like one big family at Westroyd Care Home.

STAFF
The staff continue to be excellent.
FOOD
The standard of food has rapidly gone down recently leading to mother and I understand other residents to complain. When mother complained, the chef said he was operating from instruction from "head office" .
One case in point was that for the mid day
main meal she had one brussel sprout on her plate.
I'm sure you appreciate that a good balanced diet with plenty of fresh vegetables helps to keep residents more heathy.
This decline is surprising bearing in mind we have just had a very substantial increase in fees.
DRIVEWAY.
As reported previously the driveway down to the building is full of pot holes (when in contact with the managed we are told that this is reported regularly, obviously action being taken)

The care that my relative has had at Westroyd has been outstanding from the time they first arrived here over 2 years ago. In the last year the building has undergone some significant improvements which have greatly enhanced the living experience and this has been noticeable to see, all of the areas,
including rooms are spotlessly clean always. In truth though it is the staff that really make the place from the manager all the way through to the care staff, cleaning, activities and kitchen staff. Everyone is always pleasant and talkative on even what I'm sure are very trying days and this has been greatly appreciated. I am extremely grateful for the kindness and support I have had most recently at what can only be described as the most trying time of all. Knowing that all of the staff have been there whatever is something that a thank you is not adequate enough to say but in any case, thank you!

My father has been at Westroyd for nearly 3 years now. We are extremely happy with the facility and all the staff are excellent and go above and beyond in the care shown. There are plenty of opportunities for friends and family to join events and we have been more than happy with all aspects of the
