Both mum and dad have moved into Claremont Care Home on the dementia floor. They've received compassion, kindness and great care since arriving.

They've both had falls that have been dealt with quickly and professionally.

The activities they undertake are excellent. Seaside trip, cinema visit and they enjoy the bingo and quizzes.

We like the staff very much and they keep us updated throughout.

We are extremely pleased with the service provided to our family member at Claremont. The care, attention and communication we have received have been well above the standard we expected.

The staff have been caring, professional and attentive throughout, and we have always felt that our family member is in safe and capable hands.

The level of care and contact we have received has been truly first class. We would have no hesitation in recommending Claremont to others.

My Mum has been a resident at Claremont for over a year now. I cannot praise the home enough. As you walk in, the home smells clean and fresh. It has a home from home feel about it. The staff are fabulous and very caring with the residents. Activities are varied from board games to volley ball. Only last week, my Mum was taken to the coast for a day out which she thoroughly enjoyed. The home regularly organises visitors into the home. They celebrate all major events such as the World Cup to VE Day etc. They have recently developed a large garden area where residents are encouraged to plant flowers and vegetables. I have recently had major health issues. The one thing I haven't had to worry about is my Mum who is happy and content at Claremont. I cannot recommended Claremont enough.

The activities seemed to be for people with a low ability and not very encouraging to the more mental capacity type. Ian enjoyed the exercise session. We know it is difficult for him to do many things as he is blind.

The rooms are very clean and pleasant, and the food and drinks are excellent.

My husband has had one day a week respite care at Claremont House for over a year now and overnight or short term stays when required. He recently had a nine night stay to enable me to have a holiday. The staff know him well adn he always gets a warm welcome. He enjoys the chat and the banter and he enjoys joining in with the activities. He has very complex needs and is not easy but the staff show great patience and understanding and give him time. A highlight of his stay was the tasting session to give opinions on the new menu.

My dad went into Claremont after falling and breaking his hip. We had tried 24/7 care at home with carers and family/friends but we were all exhausted. We initially wanted to avoid a care home as we all had an image of care homes 20 years ago. We visited 5 care homes in total but as soon as me and my sister went into Claremont and met the staff, we knew we had found the right one for dad. Care homes have certainly changed from the image we had! We both said 'it felt like a hug'. Our instincts were completely right as Dad has settled so well due to the care he has received from the amazing staff. We were encouraged to make dad's room his own and staff listened to us and took on board lots about dad so that they could form a relationship with him when he arrived. We were initially looking at respite only, but Dad and ourselves are now discussing it being a permanent move as he is so happy and settled. Thank you to all the staff - you made a difficult decision so much easier.

All the staff have been exceptional from the managers, carers, handyman, nothing too much trouble. All changes eg mattress, lighting, room orientation completed immediately on request. Food excellent - according to mum. Not one carer has shown anything but regard & good intentions - this is the 3rd home mum has been in for respite and definitely the best. One downside - activities, not stimulating enough & quite weak what about a whist club/card playing more arts & crafts less sing songs & natter sessions more stimulation.

I find the whole experience very pleasing. The staff are all very helpful and caring. Nothing is too much for them and they are very understanding. Everything is available to make your stay pleasant and not daunting. The staff are all lovely.

Walter has settled in well and seems to be very happy and well cared for. All staff are very helpful an dtend to all Walters needs.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Claremont House Beverley to anyone who needs their loved one to be cared for.

My husband and I viewed Claremont House along with other Care Homes as we needed to ensure that we would make the right decision for my dad who is 95 and terminally ill. On being met at the door and receiving a very warm welcome we were so impressed with the interior of the home, the layout, the cleanliness, the facilities and the beautiful decor. During our tour we saw residents and staff interacting and the whole feeling was one of warmth, care, respect, empathy and enjoyment. We both knew that this was the place where we wanted him to spend the latter stage of his life.He has settled in very well and the staff are so encouraging and thoughtful, they care. He hadn't been eating properly both at home and in hospital but he really loves the food in Claremont House and is looking better. In his words he said "It is proper home cooking, the best". He also told us that he feels safe and looked after which is exactly how we want him to feel. Thank you to everyone, from the family.

I came into the home for 2 weeks of respite care whilst my son & daughter-in-law took a holiday. I have found the staff & care I have received here is first class. The staff have all been so caring and kind - I could not have asked for more. They have all looked after me so well, and the food has been delicious.

I have been a care manager now retired. I find this home well managed, staff are very friendly standard of care is good. The only thing that would improve the home would be a garden. As this is a most as it will help with stimulation. Once garden done I would highly recommend.

I joined my wife for an excellent Sunday lunch at a small cost.

My mum had spent two weeks in hospital recovering from fluid retention as a result of heart failure. She was very poorly so we needed a transitional respite home before she went home as we needed her to feel confident and gain strength. Upon contacting Claremont all staff were incredible. They were wholeheartedly there for my mum and all of us. Their warmth, understanding, support and positivity put us all instantly at ease. We can't thank Claremont enough, the place is magnificent. My mum stayed for two weeks and returned home a stronger, more confident person. Thank you so much.

After a shaky start with mum not wanting to stay, the staff made her feel welcome and relaxed. Offered her a different room to help her settle and then brought in a cup of tea. Staff also made the family feel welcome and always providing us with feedback of mums care. Always reassuring and caring to other service users.

At the present time she is immobile so needs hoists etc.

My brother and I visited Claremont House at the end of August this year looking for a care home for our mother who had been in hospital for several weeks and had become increasingly frail as she approached her 90th year. Claremont House became our first choice and we are pleased with the care our mother is receiving - she has improved in her wellbeing and seems to be settling in now with the staff who are all very friendly and residents who she has now made friends with. Claremont is a bright, clean, friendly place for our mother and she is made to feel it's her home now, as it is when we visit her. Thank you for the care it gives.
