My brother is very happy staying at Astell Care Centre. The staff are wonderful with him. He is treat with respect and dignity. He always enjoys his meals which are substantial and varied. I often have Sunday lunch with him in the dining room which I enjoy too. I feel very reassured that he is in excellent

I have had a good experience, everyone has been helpful and I feel my relative is cared for. Staff always stop to talk with my relative, and I feel he is loved. My relative is eating well, and I am happy to have them at Balmoral.

My father became a resident at Windsor Court after being moved from another care home that was no longer able to meet his needs. From the very beginning, the difference was remarkable. Every time we visited, we were warmly greeted by staff - something that stood in stark contrast to our previous experience,
where we often felt overlooked.
While no care home can ever be perfect, especially when supporting residents with such varied and complex needs, the team at Windsor Court do an exceptional job. The atmosphere is caring, respectful, and genuinely welcoming. The food always looked and smelled wonderful too - sadly, I never got to sample it myself!
Most importantly, they cared for my dad not just as a resident, but as a person. He was treated with kindness, dignity, and warmth - very much like how a close group of friends would look after one another.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Windsor Court wholeheartedly.

When I visit my brother I always find that all areas are very clean and all areas very quiet with staff around constantly. My brother is always made comfortable where ever he may be on my visits, which I may add are not know to the staff. He always looks clean and at ease whatever the time. I find all
the staff very caring and the whole set up is extremely relaxed. I can only add that everything is very good.

I wish to express comments for the activities coordinator. When we visited again this week, he was very polite and friendly. Explained how activities in the home worked and was going to bring a snooker table to our friend. Our friend was a snooker champion! Impressed by his professionalism and enthusiasm.

DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY.
My mother was placed here to allow my father respite, within 2 hours of being here, my mother went missing. A staff member had opened a double door pin pad system and allowed my mother to leave. There was a police search and my mother was found 3 hours
later. The staff do not care at this facility, the care home manager does not care. This facility should not be allowed to exist. The complaints procedure is an absolute joke.
Please please do not use this home. If I could rate this home in minus figures I would.

Garden could do with bit clear up. I feel my friend is well cared for at Astell. Such a shame she is not well enough to

The bedrooms are basic but have what you need.

My sister was brought to Windsor Court in January after a long illness in hospital.
When she entered home she was underweight, distressed and confused due to her condition and lacked confidence.
The staff were brilliant they went out of their way to support her. The results so far have been amazing.
My
sister is now a healthy weight and has gained so much confidence which is allowing her to do more things for herself.
She is also interacting with other residents so doesn't feel lonely as she has people to talk to her when she wants it.
The staff have worked miracles and managed to get my sister to take her medication on time, without objection which the hospital and family struggled to do as she got so upset. This is improving all aspects of her health. As a family we can see that my sister is being valued, treated with dignity.
I really want the staff at this home to be recognised as they work very hard and always have time for us and residents thank you so much!

My mam lives here, the staff are lovely and caring not just with my mam but with me as well. My mam had been really aggressive in her other care home, since living here she is happy and calm without medication. I now get to enjoy my visits, staff support her extremely well.

Very disappointed in this place, when you go to visit your either sat with in a communal area and amongst other service users or sat in a corridor, service users are all unkempt and when we where there on Saturday a woman was walking around for over an hour with blood on her face from a scratchy spot.
Not once while visiting has anyone asked if we had any issues or gave us any information regarding activities, weather she goes out to shops cafes, there's no feed back
