I have worked within the Crown Care Group for 4 years. With the previous 3 years as a Registered Manager, I was then given the opportunity to take on the role of Customer Relations Manager which I loved. I was lucky to have the pleasure of guiding people through the whole process from enquiry to admission. Building relationships and trust to ensure a smooth transition and make what can be a very difficult time as easy and enjoyable as possible.
I am now in the position of Deputy Manager, leading the team and working alongside the Home Manager.
I also work closely alongside our activities coordinator to provide and maintain an individual person-centred lifestyle plan as well as plan amazing events. My previous position also enabled me to support the Management team in all aspects of the home.
I have done Administration all my working life and like to think I’m fairly good at it by now! I work in the care industry specifically because I want to feel that my job is worthwhile and that I am giving something back to society. We all want to know our loved ones are being taken care of by people who know what they are doing and really care.
I have over 15 years' Administration and office experience, as well as a sporting background.
After a break from office roles to work in sports and activities in care, I knew this was the environment I wanted to be in, so came to work at Belvedere House. Being able to have conversations with the residents and listening to their stories helps Belvedere House feel warm and happy and you can see this in both residents and staff.
I have always worked in hospitality, in bars restaurants and hotels. I then went on to work in community care where I developed a love for care that is where my journey with Crown Care started. I now work in front of the house at Belvedere House and love my job! This is the perfect job for me, I get to use my skills in hospitality while still caring for people in this wonderful environment, while having the opportunity to teach and mentor the team to create a wonderful dining experience for our residents.
