The Royal Care Home

My husband (Nev) is well looked after by all the care team. The manager always is happy to help and comes out of the office to chat with family. Excellent care home.

Every time I visit dad the staff are really helpful. They will help out as much as they can. dad is clean and well looked after.

Would like a spacer chair as the wheelchair no longer feels safe, and at the moment it feels like he's confined to the bedroom.

Dad doesn't like much of the food but that's more personal preference so we often bring him his favourites.

You will meet the management all smiles & chatter, promising your loved one a dream stay. The experience will soon deteriorate in to chaos & deceit, not a care given in my opinion poor management equals poor staff. This review is not a knee jerk reaction to some incident, they were plenty don't get me wrong. Its a carefully considered thought out rational review, the resident in question is in a much better place & happier.

My mother has been with The Royal Care home for a number of years now , the love , care and compassion they show to her goes above and beyond from Hailey the home manager , Julie accounts manager, Hailey admin manager , mckenzie supervisor nurse ,to name but a few of the kind staff here , we as a family can not Thank them all enough for what they do everyday for our relative , the meals are outstanding, the cleanliness , the days out and entertainment that they provide is humbling to watch as they treat loved ones as one of their own, nothing is ever too much x it's frightening to have to placed any loved one into any care home as it did to our own family when we had to sadly let our own relative go into one, but with the Royal your loved one will be forever loved , safe and cared for above and beyond expectations. Thankyou to all at the royal care home for what you do and for showing our own relative such love and care x

Menu for meals on display looks excellent

Very good experience with this care home, the staff are all lovely and friendly and very understanding and patient with my dad. This care home was recommended to me and I'm so happy and grateful to them for taking my dad in on short notice.

Visiting my auntie at The Royal Care Home, the staff are friendly and very helpful. My auntie's room is always very clean, the staff are lovely with her; considerate, and helpful always. They do plenty of activities, which my auntie likes to be invovled, and doing. She loves having her hair done at the hairdressers and having her nails done. Also there is a lovely lady serving tea, coffee, etc and biscuits that comes around quite often.

On visit to my aunt at The Royal I was greeted by friendly staff who were very helpful. Her room was very clean + safe. The activities were great not just plonked in front of TV like some care homes. Food + Drink was offered at regular intervals

We found The Royal to be overall a exellant home for my wife from the office staff through to the domestic staff everybody is caring and helpfull, I can go home at night knowing my wife s being well looked after

The staff show kindness, empathy and respect my mother-in-laws choices and dignity. Manual handling is done with precision and in the safest manner. Food and nutrition is on point and all cooked on site. Personal care is delivered as required and again always protecting the privacy, dignity and respect.No-one wants to have a loved one in care but what I will say is when you have found the right placement like The Royal is for us. It makes it easier

My father is 94 yrs of age and I can not praise the staff enough. They take care of all his needs to the best standard. The manager is amazing and friendly and always has time for a chat with mum and myself. The senior care team always contact me with any problems or care issues about my father . 10/10 the Royal . Thank you all of you great team.

Absolutely amazing home. We Couldn't ask for a better place for my Grandma. She's very well looked after, enjoys the food and activities. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and will do anything to help.

Excellent care kept well informed. All the staff worked together to deliver the best care possible. Made a difficult time a lot easier thank you to everyone involved nothing was to much trouble. The home was spotless and the facilities were excellent.

The royal is an amazing home. The staff go above and beyond for each and every resident. Nothing is too much trouble. The manager and deputy manager are kind and approachable and always willing to listen to any worries I may have.

Happy to see my mum take care of. Even though she finds personal hygiene very difficult, everyone is patient and understanding with her. We never thought she would settle away from home but thanks to all the staff she is doing fine.

This place is amazing they are so caring and support to all their residents not just my dad. On his birthday they gave him a card and even made him a lovely cake. They put balloons outside his room too. It was so sweet. They also try to include him in activities even though most times he doesn't get involved but they always try. My only regret is that he didn't come to this home soon as the previous one was horrendous

I love this place. I feel my dad is receiving the most amazing care. He went in there so poorly and all the staff have been amazing and improved him so much, from him going in there not expecting him to last till Christmas, he has enjoyed 2 there

My beloved husband died on 21st December in the care of the amazing Royal staff. Their love and devotion exceeded "duty" by miles. Every single carer was so kind, not only to my husband but also to me and I will never be able to thank them enough. All through the 21 months of his stay for dementia care he received the best of everything and nothing was ever too much trouble. If I could name each carer it would be too long a list; suffice it to say that I am so grateful to them all, including the superb nurses and brilliant management team. Having experienced "bad" care homes I can confidently state that the Royal has very high standards exceeds expectations in every direction. It was my lucky day when I took a chance and called in without an appointment to ask if there were any vacancies, as I was desperate because my husband was in a dreadful place and very unhappy. Fate was definitely on my side; four days later my husband smiled for the first time when he saw his room. Thank you!

My mum has been in The Royal three months now. We wasn't t sure what to expect at first and it was quite overwhelming, but I can't tell you just how pleased me and my family are. It is like one big family. The staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble, day or night. The home is run really well and there is always somebody around to chat to. It has honestly give me peace of mind knowing that mum is being looked after, kept clean, and eating very well-she loves her food! Activities are great if you want to participate and she loves having her hair and nails done. Thank you to everyone.
