My dad went into the Royal in March 2021. From that day until Saturday, February 2022 the staff have been fantastic. He was cared for with dignity, love and kindness which my family will never forget. Dad loved having a joke with the staff, who always were approachable and caring towards the family. Me and my sisters can't praise all the staff enough. Thanks for all the kindness, care and compassion you showed to my dad and us at the end of his life. Thanks to you all.

I am very satisfied that this is the right place for my wife. The staff are very courteous and always try to help me as much as they do my wife. I have no reason to doubt their ability to look after my wife and I thank them.

My mother was admitted to the Royal care home as she required end-of-life care. We found the staff were very friendly, approachable, and caring both towards my mum and to her family. The Royal is a clean, comfortable place, they provide some activities (around covid restrictions). Mum enjoyed having her hair and nails done regularly. I can't praise the staff highly enough for their understanding, care, and compassion. Thank you to all.

My mother has been a resident here for 8-years. The care that she has received, in this time, is outstanding. The staff are amazing with the care they provide, despite my Mum being difficult to deal with due to dementia. The food is very good and is freshly cooked on a daily basis. Residents have secure access to a large garden. Highly recommended!

My nana went into this care home in these difficult times, and the staff have been really good. We have been able to visit at the window, and she always looks happy. The staff always keep us up to date with how she is and are always really caring towards her; this made us feel much better, as a family.

My mum had a fall and went into the hospital, because of this, we were advised she has to have some respite. We chose The Royal as its the closest to us. When she went in for her respite, she seemed really happy and settled. The staff and manager were really reassuring. Mum now lives there full time, the food great, and she's put weight on. We're very happy as a family.

I’m so happy with the care the team at The Royal provide for Mum. It’s been a tough year for us, but the whole team have kept the spirits of residents high. Mum has dementia and can be difficult at times. She often needs support to eat. The girls are just amazing, nothing seems to phase them. They’re obviously very well trained. Nothing’s too much trouble.

Well done to everyone; you are angels.

My mum moved to The Royal in November when she required nursing care, which was not available in her previous care home. All the staff at The Royal have treated my mum with care, kindness and respect at all times and have really taken time getting her settled in. They are all welcoming to us as a family, listening to any concerns we should have. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere safe for their family member. I'm so thankful she was here during this Covid pandemic.

My father was cared fro by The Royal Care Home and through the most traumatic and awful times we are enduring with coronavirus, the staff without exception have been incredibly caring, warm, kind, thoughtful and professional. Thank you!

Sadly, dad passed away, but his level of care was exemplary.

We use The Royal for respite care for my mum and recently for emergency care. The home is lovely, and the food is varied and there is plenty of it. She is well cared for, all of the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and they update me every time I go to visit. The entertainments lady is fantastic, as are all the staff. They have a lovely relationship with the residents and families. I visited quite a few homes before I decided on The Royal and I am really pleased we chose it.

Very disappointed in this care home. After seeing the online reviews I placed my parents in this home for 2 weeks respite. On arrival, everything seemed good, friendly staff, lovely manager etc, lots of reassurance and promises of how great it will be for my parents. It turned out to be the opposite - within the week I had removed my parents from this home and relocated them to a lovely place nearer me. Let's just say since moving them they have flourished. In my opinion, this home does not demonstrate what the reviews suggest - unfortunately, I am unable to go into detail due to their Review Policy.

My husband and I will be forever indebted to the wonderful staff at The Royal, who treated my mother-in-law with dignity, respect and so much love. They are so very caring and a credit to their care home. The manager (who has recently left) was excellent, so very caring too. The home was always very clean and food was lovely. The staff are angels, so pleasant and they treated us, as relatives, equally well. Wonderful.

The care staff are friendly, gentle, sociable and caring. They have a lovely relationship with the residents. My mum has settled in so well and is constantly smiling. She has a beautiful bedroom with photos, pictures etc from her own home. I love how the carers know exactly what all the resident's likes and dislikes are.

The cleaners and cooks are equally as friendly. A huge weight off my mind to know mum is safe and happy.
