Kensington Care Home

Kensington's approach is professional as well as having the human touch and caring deeply for the needs and best interests of all its residents. Moving into full-time care was a difficult concept for Dad but being at Kensington has been such a positive experience that he has never looked back and now thinks living here has been an excellent move. It has given him back a quality of life that had previously begun to decline.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. A week of recuperation after a hip replacement. The rooms are lovely and the whole building is clean and bright. Staff are superb and nothing is too much trouble. Even the food is good! What is not to like? I 100% recommend Kensington Care Home.

The care that was given to my dad in the last few months was second to none. He was treated with dignity, respect and love by all of the staff at Kensington. Thank you to everyone for the care you gave him and the support you gave to all the family.

From the first visit, I felt welcomed. The home feels more like a hotel than a care home. It is bright and light, with a friendly, warm atmosphere. It is spotless, and the food is of good quality. The staff are always friendly and supportive and nothing is ever too much trouble. Although my mother did not wish to be there, I feel very comfortable that she was in safe hands 24/7 and her needs were met 100%. Mum and I particularly enjoyed the garden, getting outside when mobility is restricted is so important for the resident's well-being. I would highly recommend the home.

The food was excellent, with many choices to suit all. The staff were extremely kind and caring and nothing was too much trouble. Very impressed by the professional care and attention of all staff on whom the pressure must be enormous. Old people are so frail and need much love and patience. It must be difficult to find and keep staff happy and committed. It takes a special kind of Angel.

On the whole, the care is extremely good and senior staff is soon aware and responsive to any health issues. All staff are pleasant, caring and kind. There would appear to be a regular turnover of staff, I have observed some caring and dedicated staff leaving, I would imagine for better-paid employment. The best care home I've come into contact with.

As ever the home is a pleasure to visit. The care staff are brilliant and everyone treats me very kindly, over the course of a year we have become friends. I know that my mother is safe and well looked after.

My mother-in-law has been a resident since last year with dementia, she has had first class care from all the staff and has settled very well. I never thought that Dad would end up in a care home, but it became evident very quickly that he needed 24-hour care. The Kensington was recommended, and I spoke with the manager and made an appointment to view the place. The deputy manager was on duty when my friend and I came to look around. She knew that I needed Dad in there quickly, and this happened seamlessly, and it was both the manager and deputy manager, who were there to greet him the following night. I was very impressed and have continued to be so. All the staff are lovely, professional, friendly and genuinely care about their clients. I have nothing but praise for this care home which is spotlessly clean and more like a classy hotel. The food is also wonderful. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Sadly, my lovely dad passed away very recently, and this was dealt with compassionately and professionally. I received such excellent care from the staff on duty that day, and I will never forget their kindness. Thank you to you all.

Kensington is a good place to be, my brother-in-law is in exceptionally good hands. His needs are all met and the staff are so kind to him, they give a life worth living and with not many visits. I know he's well loved and looked after and compared to his life a year ago. Kensington has improved his quality of life immensely.

The level of care is very high and the friendly nature of the staff is wonderful to see. My uncle has come on in leaps and bounds since his arrival.
