Job summary
Kensington, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, is looking for a full-time Senior Carer.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care staff to deliver outstanding care in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or concerns
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through empathetic communication and companionship
- Organise activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care
- Drive the organisation’s values by demonstrating leadership and fostering a positive environment
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a senior care or care home environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Knowledge of senior care practices, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation is essential
