Personal Care
Personal care is an essential part of being a Care Assistant, ensuring that those you support can maintain their dignity at all times. This includes helping with things like washing, dressing, bathroom visits and always respecting personal choices and preferences. For example, you might support someone in getting ready for the day by helping them dress and ensuring they feel comfortable and confident in the outfit they have chosen to wear. While these responsibilities may feel personal, they are crucial in providing compassionate and respectful care, you empower individuals to live as independently as possible.

Career Progression:
Being a Care Assistant can be the beginning of a long-term career in care. It’s a role where you can support others, learn, gain experience and develop over time. Many of our team go on to become Senior Carers, Team Leaders or Care Practitioners, while others take their experience in a different direction, such as administration.
To support you, we’ll guide you through a structured 12-week induction through our Care Academy, and then ongoing training, helping you build confidence and skills, which means you don’t need formal care experience or qualifications.
