Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to
join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to
individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their
comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess
strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive
impact on the lives of those they care for.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect for all residents.
- Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or appointments, ensuring safe transportation for clients.
- Utilise IT systems to document care activities and communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

Skills / Qualifications:
- Care Certificate
- Preferably Holding NVQ in Health & Social care
- Minimum 1 year experience in Nursing Home
- Preferably Holding Enhanced DBS
- Preferably residing near Care Home
- Preferably flexible on Day/Night shifts
