As our Clinical Deputy, you will take on the full responsibility for the effective operation and delivery of the business plan for their relevant unit within the Home, in conjunction with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager to take full responsibility for ensuring high standards of professional practice which meet the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the Residents. You will have join responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home to exceed CQC standards. You’ll recruit, induct, appraise and develop the care team to ensure that they fully trained and able to deliver the best possible care to our residents.
Here’s some other important things you need to know:
- Registered valid NMC pin is essential
- Prior experience working as a senior nurse in care home is essential
- Ensure that the daily staff rota is always in place to minimize agency use
- Ensure that all nursing team are competent in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities and to carry our regular checks as required, and spot checks to be done
- Work in conjunction with the Home Manager to maintain a log and report any Safeguarding and notifications to CQC
- Share responsibility with Home Manager and Deputy for the selection, recruitment, induction and training and regular appraisal of all staff on your unit.
- Ensure that all staff receive training and any support necessary to facilitate their role and that they follow company policy and procedures at all times.
