About this role

As Deputy Manager, you will help lead the home’s operations, governance, compliance, and staff development. You’ll work closely with the Home Manager and Quality Assurance Team to maintain high standards, drive continuous improvement, and foster a warm, supportive culture for residents and staff.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a person?centred approach to care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Governance & compliance — supporting audits, quality checks, and action planning.
  • Care planning oversight — ensuring personalised, high?quality support for residents.
  • Safe recruitment — helping to hire skilled, compassionate staff.
  • Training & development — supporting staff growth and performance.
  • Occupancy management — maintaining safe and efficient staffing levels.
  • Premises & maintenance oversight — ensuring a clean, safe, well?maintained environment.
  • Safeguarding leadership — promoting dignity, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Rota management — ensuring effective staffing and operational coverage.
  • Team culture — fostering collaboration, morale, and a supportive workplace.
  • Risk management — implementing and monitoring safety protocols.
  • Infection control — ensuring robust, compliant practices.

Skills / Qualifications:
