Care Assistant for Nights

Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night Healthcare Assistant to join our award-winning team at The Old Vicarage Residential Home. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in our care home, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with Healthcare Professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, making a positive impact on the lives of those in your care.

Responsibilities:

To respond positively to the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental needs of the residents

To monitor the health, welfare and well-being of residents, following the plan of care

To monitor residents’ hygiene and self-care, and record and report any changes to this

To be knowledgeable regarding the whereabouts of the residents at all times

To maintain proper and accurate records regarding the residents and other Home information, write reports in the care plan on daily events

Ensure that the staff team is supported at all times, maintaining professional relationships with all staff, setting a good example regarding general conduct at work

Preparation of snacks and serving of meals

Maintaining cleanliness throughout the home

To be aware of and follow all procedures of the Home

To be knowledgeable regarding emergency procedures pertaining to the Home

To keep up to date with recent care developments, attend relevant courses/training

To have knowledge of the use of any equipment within the Home
