Care Assistant

Job summary

We are looking for a Qualified Care Assistant to work on a shift basis, this will include mornings and afternoon shifts, 2 - 3 shifts per week. The times are 08:00 to 14:15 hrs mornng and the after is 14:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs. There will be requirement to do extra shifts when other members of staff are on holiday.  We are a small care home with only 4 residents with varying degrees of care needs.   We may need some cover for night shifts when the night carers are on holiday.    This is from 21 hrs to 07 hrs the following morning. 

The role entails getting the residents medication and breakfast. Assisting them to wash (shower) and dress. Taking care of their toileting needs.  Tidying their rooms.  Preparing their lunch and serving them. Washing and ironing of their clothing and bedding.  Administrating medication.   

We require the carer to engage the residents in activities and chair based exercises suitable to their capabilities.
