Job summary

Sancroft Hall is a residential home for older people and specialises in providing care for those living with dementia. The home is located 10 miles from the city centre and just 13 minutes to Euston from Harrow&Wealdstone station there are great transport links via the Metropolitan Line, Watford DC and national rail service. It is easily accessible to the M1, M25 and A406 (staff parking available on site).

Sancroft has a CQC "good" rating and has been recognised by Care Home UK as one of the 20 best care homes in London, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

We are currently recruiting for Assistant Manager to help us enable our residents to lead fuller and more meaningful lives. This post within the Sancroft Community Care management structure and will lead care shifts within the home. The post holder will work as a part of team of 4 Assistant Managers to support the Deputy and Registered Home Manager to provide and maintain safe and secure environment.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • The Assistant Manager must be able to contribute to the success of the whole organisation by respecting colleagues leading the care teams to maintain our excellent service. You must be able take responsibility for the safe running of the home in the absence of senior managers.
  • You will need to have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience of managing a team in care providing role within an older persons care environment and be qualified to the minimum of NVQ Level 3 in social care or equivalent. You must possess excellent and effective numeracy
  • literacy
  • and ICT skills; together with the ability to keep accurate records and follow written instructions.
  • The role requires clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) if you're going to be working with vulnerable groups
  • like the elderly or people with disabilities.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable.
  • Able to work during weekend and out of hours on-call rota.
