What will you be doing?
As Care Assistant you will be working as part of a dedicated team of staff who have our resident’s emotional and physical wellbeing at the core of all they do. You will show warmth, and empathy to our residents and their families; helping to promote their independence and dignity.
Every day will be different, so you can expect to undertake work that’s as varied as it is rewarding. As a Care Assistant, you’ll help our residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care they deserve. You’ll assist with their daily living, encouraging their participation in meaningful activities as well as providing support and companionship.
Where you will be working
You will be working at one of our Crosscrown Care Homes in Rugby area.
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will join a supportive team that is committed to empowering recovery and encouraging independence within a residential or nursing environment.
The shift patterns include working weekdays and weekends a mix shift pattern of mornings, afternoons or long days.
Responsibilities:
• Assist service users with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
• Assist with meal preparation and eating
• Assist with light housekeeping duties
• Escort clients to appointments and outings
• Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred
- but not essential
- • Ability to communicate effectively in English
- both verbally and in writing
- • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with service users
- • Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
