About the role:
Reporting to the General
Manager, the Maintenance Operative is responsible for ensuring all
maintenance checks are conducted, and that the home is a safe
environment for residents, team members and visitors whilst
maintaining a high quality of service within the home.
Salary:
Competitive, depending on skills and experience.
Shift Pattern:
40 hours per week, worked on a
rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
Home Location:
Coronation Close, March,
England, PE15 9PP.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all minor repairs and plumbing are fixed within a timely manner.
- Ensure that all electrical equipment, drainage systems and the boiler house is maintained and repaired if required.
- Ensure that the decoration of the home is to the highest standard and snagging items dealt with in a timely manner.
- Overall responsibility for carrying our weekly tests of the emergency systems within the home.
Training, Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience within a similar maintenance role, ideally within a healthcare environment, is essential.
- Excellent written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of and competence in building maintenance.
- Good computer skills in order to complete reporting duties.
