We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, serving breakfast and lunch, food safety, and general kitchen duties, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and develop essential skills within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with health and safety standards
• Support chefs in daily operations, including cleaning and organising workstations
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients
• Help with serving meals to customers or guests in a courteous and professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and surfaces
• Support inventory management by organising stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies
• Follow all hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers

Requirements

• Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations
• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
• A positive attitude and strong team spirit are essential for success in this role

This role has set days - Monday, Saturday Sunday every week 8am-2pm.
