Bring joy, connection, and purpose to every day

At Fordingbridge Care Home, part of the Allegra Care Group, we do things differently.

Our household model of care focuses on truly person-centred living—supporting independence, life skills, and meaningful daily experiences in a warm, homely environment. Our teams work closely with residents to create a community where everyone feels valued and engaged.

We are now looking for a creative, compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team in the heart of the beautiful New Forest—where no two days are ever the same.

About the Role

As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our home—bringing energy, creativity, and warmth to each day.

You’ll design and deliver a varied programme of engaging, meaningful activities, tailored to the interests, abilities, and life stories of our residents.

Your role will include:

  • Planning and delivering activities that promote wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment
  • Encouraging residents to take part and try new experiences
  • Supporting hobbies, crafts, and life skills activities
  • Organising events and creating a vibrant, social atmosphere
  • Building strong relationships with residents and colleagues
  • Maintaining accurate activity records and plans

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Fun, caring, and full of enthusiasm
  • A confident communicator with a positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and a natural multitasker
  • Passionate about enriching the lives of others
  • Some experience in care is required
  • Basic IT and organisational skills are beneficial (full training provided)

A Voice from Our Team

Zoe, one of our team members, shared what makes this role so special:

“You need to be creative, passionate, and dedicated. This role is incredibly rewarding—we enrich residents’ lives every day by bringing meaningful, fun activities into their daily lives.”

“You become a familiar, friendly face that residents look forward to seeing each morning. The smiles you help create make it all worthwhile.”

“You need to be organised, adaptable, and able to juggle different tasks—but above all, you’re there to bring happiness and opportunities for residents to express themselves.”

What We Offer

  • £13.20 per hour
  • 30-hour contract with flexible scheduling
  • Beautiful working environment in the New Forest
  • Supportive team and positive culture
  • Training and development opportunities
  • The chance to make a genuine difference every day
