Thank you for your kind words. Allowing others to care for your Mum is not an easy decision, we absolutely understand. So it's very humbling to receive your review, thank you.
We are very sorry to hear you felt a lack of empathy and compassion when your mother was a resident at Fordingbridge Nursing Home. We have spoken with the staff concerned and although they present a slightly different perspective it is your feelings and reaction that are paramount.
At this time due to the dangers of Coronavirus, the staff have to ensure that strict protocols are adhered to for the safety of our residents. If this has come across as blunt and curt we can only express our sincere apologies.
We would also like to apologise that your father was contacted against your wishes. The first contact in your mother's care plan was unavailable and so the second contact, your father, was contacted. An error, that in the light of your verbal instruction, should not have happened.
Please accept our deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother and our apologies once again for any distress you may have suffered.
