Excellant care home with vast improvements with the addition of Jane taking over the management of the facilities a few months ago. She really has steadied the ship and has a wonderful team of staff behind her. They are all very caring and attentive to the residents needs. I watch them regularly interreacting
and knowing all the residents by name and showing respect and dignity. My father has Alzeimers and complex needs which are always met from the smiling team. A special shout out to Jainey our nurse on floor one, but the whole team really deserves a shout out. Plenty of entertainment is on offer for those wishing to partake. The home is light and airy and has a tireless team keeping it clean. Thank you for giving us as a family the peace of mind that Dad is receiving the best care.

As the relative of a new resident, I am still getting to know Olive Tree House. From first impressions, I would say its greatest asset is the staff who have been friendly, helpful, informative and professional, regardless of role and status. We have been made welcome, and encouraged to participate
in the collective life of the Home and make full use of its facilities. I personally appreciate and celebrate the multi-cultural diversity of the staff, although my elderly Mum struggles at times with unusual accents and names, and is not always sure what is being said to her. That said, she is becoming very fond of some of the staff who attend to her needs on a regular basis. We have attended a couple of activity sessions with Liz which my Mum enjoyed and benefited from very much. Liz's energy and enthusiasm is infectious! The food is adequate but not always as hot as it should be. There have been issues around other residents wandering into Mum's room, which can be distressing.
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at Olive Tree HouseHello,
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I have passed your comments onto Vlad who will immediately follow up on both matters.
I agree with you about the staff. I think my colleagues are all very caring and genuinely interested in each Resident. That is what makes Olive Tree House such a lovely home. I hope your family enjoys being with us for a very long time. Best wishes, and thank you, Helen

Mum was welcomed from the first day of her arrival by every member of the team. As regular visitors, our family witnessed first hand the kindness and devotion shown to her on a daily basis. Mum adored everyone and loved spending time chatting and laughing with the team who made her feel recognized and
special. This meant so much to us as a family knowing that she was surrounded by such an amazing team of professionals. The activities and entertainment are incredible, with arts and crafts, gardening club, field trips, singers and cultural events. The food is excellent, not an easy task when dealing with different dietary requirements. One of the most memorable things which always stood out when visiting was the sound of staff and residents laughing and enjoying their day. This is a testament to the amazing team of professionals that work there. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful our family are to everyone for making mums last weeks so comfortable. Thank you to everyone!

I would like to say that cherry blossom have been outstanding in the care and love they showed my father in law in his very short stay. He arrived on Thursday 30/10/25 after spending a month in the city hospital he was an advanced bladder cancer patient that had also had a stroke. He was admitted to
cherry blossom with only days to live and he was treated and cared for with the upmost respect care love and respect. he passed away on 02/11/25 all the staff have been the most wonderful people not only did they care for my rather in law they also looked out for me and my family they kept us in constant supply of food and drinks in our long hours spent at the care home and nothing was to much trouble.
The staff have restored my faith in humanity again I would like to say a big thank you for all your care love and support.

This last Saturday, members of the family visited our aging parents to celebrate their wedding anniversary (73 years!) and our father's forthcoming 95th birthday (on the Sunday). In advance I had asked, Kirsty, Care Home Manager, whether there was somewhere we might be able to have a family lunch together;
and was expecting that to be a table in the ground floor dining area. Imagine our surprise and delight when we were informed that provision had been made for us utilising the 3rd floor cinema room. Not only that, but the room and table had been decorated with Birthday and Anniversary bunting. This was all perfect for our use and on behalf of both resident parents and all the family I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kirsty and her staff in going out of your way to make the occasion special for them. I also understand that a birthday cake was presented on the Sunday. Perfect! Thanks again. Best wishes
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at Magdalen House Care HomeFirstly, Happy Anniversary to your parents. 73 years wow that's a tremendous achievement, congratulations to them both. That is the best cause for celebration and I know Kirsty and the team were very excited and delighted to help make the party memorable for everyone. And then there's having a birthday as well - 95 years, another wonderful reason to celebrate. We want every one of our Residents and their family members to feel at home with us, celebrating milestones is something family does together. We're absolutely thrilled to have helped your family in a small way, to have a super day. Thank you, Helen

To be fair nobody really chooses a care home for their loved ones, but when circumstances mean they are no longer able to look after themselves at home and their needs are complex then its time to accept help.
We found Fairmile Grange to have an amazing team of warm and friendly staff who my Mum loved.
es sometimes we had to wait for help, but other times, other residents waited while my Mum was given the care she needed.
We always found the team approachable and any problem was dealt with quickly. Every member of staff knew Mums name and engaged with her which was so very important.
Mum really enjoyed the food and ate well. She enjoyed the wellbeing teams morning small group sessions and the afternoon activities which were wide and varied. She especially loved the male singers and Friday afternoon piano sessions which were well attended by the residents.
Thank you to all the team @ Fairmile Grange for their love and support for Mum and to us all as her relatives.

My mum moved into the Grove a few months ago. The staff I met both before and since she moved in have been amazing and were a big part of choosing the home and how well mum has settled in. They all have such a positive attitude, you can tell they genuinely care about each resident and adapt the care
and activities to suit. The home is always clean when I visit. If mum has a problem, the GP is called promptly and they keep me informed. Although it is a smaller home than some, the separate lounges give residents different areas to relax in and there always seems to be a lot going on. They take trips out to local events and put on events in support local and national charities, which the residents love. I am so grateful for how well they look after mum and how safe she is at The Grove.
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at The GroveThank you for your considered feedback and review. I believe the warmth and compassion of the team are what makes the difference in a home. We as a family couldn't be more happy with the care & support my brother gets on a daily basis. Since arriving we have all had some very challenging times which the team have supported us as family each and every time. I
would highly recommend this home
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at Magdalen House Care HomeI am so pleased to hear that we've been effective in supporting your family as well as your brother. There is a lot of emotion for a family in selecting a care home, moving the Resident in, and everyone getting used to the idea that this is now their home. We completely understand and can empathise with you. We're here to help everyone - the Resident, the family and friends. With my warmest wishes, Helen

Rose Gardens continues to be the right home for my mum. Mum is not mum of a social person so misses out on the every day activities most of the time - but is very keen on having chats with all the staff and residents if they pass her room - mum enjoys the activities she gets to, but does not remember
them soon after, dementia is very sad to be feen by the family and friends but the staff/residents are always ready to help with mum however they can. Many thanks, always.
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at Rose GardenHello,Thank you for providing your feedback. It is sad and difficult at times to see how dementia affects our loved ones, my colleagues and I are here to help you at all times, as well as your Mum. With my very best wishes, Helen

My husband has recently become a resident due to his declining Alzheimer's. As soon as I walked through the door, everything about the nursing, especially the atmosphere, was very calming. The staff are brilliant. My husband has to have one-to-one care. The carers are kind with lots of patience. I could
not feel more at ease knowing my husband is getting the best care. Thank you so much.
