Fairmile Grange

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wishes for a care home for my husband were safety and excellent care delivered with kindness, compassion and respect. Fairmile Grange has provided all of these.
The home is staffed by a team of dedicated people who clearly have a real understanding of dementia and who are skilled in its management
and make it their business to get to know the specific needs of individuals. This is evident not only in the nursing, care staff and well being teams who have the most interaction with residents, but in everybody involved in the running of the home and most definitely in the senior management team.
As the wife of a resident I always feel welcome and am kept well informed.

All the staff are very helpful and caring. The meals are made from scratch, fresh every day. The residents are made very welcome and taken on different outings each month. The staff also have projects that they do to entertain residents within the home too. I had the pleasure to watch them decorate
Christmas cakes. This is a home and environment that I would want for myself, when the time comes. I would recommend St Georges!
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at St Georges Nursing HomeHello,
What a fantastic recommendation. It's so genuine when someone says they could see themselves living with us. That reinforces to us that we're on the right track, making StG's genuinely feel like home. Thank you. My colleagues in St Georges will be thrilled to read your comments, best wishes, Helen

My Dad has been at St Georges since December last year. Initially as a temporary resident but now permanent following the death of my Mother. Can't fault the care my Dad has got from St Georges, he is very happy there and now calls it his home. The staff also managed the rapid demise of my Mum very
caringly and made sure my Dad was ok throughout.

We were also able to hold the wake following my Mum's funeral at St Georges. This was great and we really appreciate the effort that Simon, Zoe and the team put in to organise it. It made a sad day a bit less sad.

Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at St Georges Nursing HomeHello
My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mum. i am so glad we have been able to provide some comfort and support to your family at this sad time. With reference to your Dad, what a wonderful compliment it is that he calls StG's 'home', that is our absolute goal. St George's is a family home, with lots going on and always a warm helpful person nearby. With my best wishes to your family, and again thank you, Helen

St Georges Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
St George's Nursing Home provides a consistently high standard of professional care in a calm, organised, and well-managed environment. Our family's experience has been very positive, regarding residential care and in how the home supports families.

Dad is a resident at St George's, and the quality

of his day-to-day care has been dependable and well delivered. Staff are attentive, courteous, and professional in all interactions. The atmosphere within the home is calm and reassuring, which reflects strong leadership and good teamwork among staff.

In addition to Dad's ongoing care, we also held a family funeral at St George's. The arrangements were managed efficiently and with appropriate sensitivity. Staff handled the logistics discreetly and competently, allowing for a successful event.

St George's Nursing Home is a well-run care facility with high professional standards. Families can have confidence that residents are supported with dignity, reliability, and respect.

My Mum has only been at Olive Tree House for just over two weeks now, I just want to say what a fantastic home this is.
Her previous two Nursing homes do not compare to Olive Tree House. We have found a little gem.
Nothing is to much trouble for the carers. I have found all of the Management team ,
Nurses and carers to be very friendly.
I visited the home twice, on my second visit I knew that Olive Tree House was the place to put my Mum.
My visit was not rushed, I spent over half hour being shown round by one of the team leaders.
On the third day of Mum being there, I took her round all four floors of the building, every member of staff acknowledged us on every floor.
The entrance is very warm and welcoming, there is also an area where you can help yourself to a hot or cold drink.
I know I have made the right decision placing Mum here, I always get a warm welcome form all the team when I go to visit Mum.

My Dad's been at Olive Tree House for 5 weeks now & I just wanted to review it so others know what to expect & perhaps to make the very stressful time of putting a relative in a home a little easier.
We took a chance and didn't even come & look round the home, Dad was admitted straight from hospital,
so I trusted that the home the NHS were sending him to would be ok, we were under so much stress it was just easier that way, and WOW!! We really have struck lucky, Olive Tree House is lovely, it's very modern only being about ten years old & purpose built, so everything works, just as it is, not like when an old mansion house has been converted & the lifts aren't even in the right place etc!!
When you first come in, it's a bit like coming into a hotel, there's a lovely cheery receptionist on duty and from then on in the staff are just lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them & they are all really kind to Dad!
Honestly, we absolutely can't fault it!! And the food is great!!!
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at Olive Tree HouseHello,
It is very kind of you to write an review to inform other people making the placement decision. This is such a difficult, stressful time and no one ever really expects to be in that situation.
