It was difficult to find the right secure, dementia care home for our brother (72) who has Korsakoff. Syndrome. From the outset the Fordingbridge team at all levels have been helpful, empathic, and professional. The team lead quickly appraised and understood our brother's needs, both his clinical diagnosis and how to manage his personal quirks and preferences and need for autonomy, limited though that now is. The care team on the floor are consistently kind and attentive, and treat him with warmth and good humour. There is a good atmosphere here and the home environment is spacious, well appointed and clean and the food seems very good. A year on, his second year in care, he is more settled, happy to have a large tree-surrounded garden with shady places to sit, either alone or with some of his friends. It's been a big relief to find the right place for him.

My Dad has lived at Blossom Fields for over two years. I left a review at that time, sharing how wonderful the whole team has been for my dad at this stage of his life. Two years on and my praise for the team, most of who have been a constant alongside Dad and myself, is even stronger. They all keep on caring for my Dad and his well being. My Dad is in safe, skilful and caring hands, and I remain so very very grateful. Thank you to all members of the team.

The staff are amazing, Mum loves the regular hugs and love they give.

Sadly my dad passed in July but I was with him for 4 days and nights, indeed the staff encouraged me to stay. I was given access to food and drink throughout my stay. They even sat and comforted me when I had a wobble. Every single member of staff stopped by to say goodbye to dad before he passed. We couldn't have asked for more. I would not hesitate to have my relatives or friends come to stay in this home. I cannot thank them enough for their care of dad.

Limited staffing at times

Senior staff are approachable and friendly. The carers are 'angels on earth'. They have much more patience than I would have.

Home is relatively modern, clean and welcoming to visitors. Nowhere seems off limits to relatives which is reassuring.

Easy as always to nit pick, but overall they do a good job and most residents seem content. That is certainly true of my wife. I wish she did not have to be there, but the reality is that there is no viable alternative.

My Dad has been a resident at Fordingbridge since Feb 2026. He was in a previous care home for 3 years but they could no longer manage him due to the characteristics of his dementia. The manager gave me every confidence that her team could look after my Dad and 8 months later that has definitely proved to be the case. All the staff I have encountered have a genuine caring nature. The atmosphere is friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in to the reception. The rooms are big and airy and always very clean. The nursing staff are caring and professional and always keep me updated with any health issues. My Dad often features in video's singing and dancing with the staff and residents which I can then share with the family. My dad is very well looked after and appears happy. I cannot ask for anything more.

My mum has been a resident at Fordingbridge for several months now, and with the support of all the staff, she has settled in very well. She had a challenging first two weeks but, thanks to the excellent care, support and interventions provided by the staff, these issues were quickly resolved. One of the key reasons was the outstanding care and attention given by the team responsible for managing and monitoring her medication. Every conversation I had with them left me feeling confident that Mum's wellbeing was being closely monitored and that any necessary adjustments were made promptly. In addition, whenever I visit, I regularly see carers spending time with residents, engaging them in conversation and showing them genuine kindness. These small but meaningful moments of care make a real difference. Overall, I am so happy that Mum is at Fordingbridge.

We did have initial teething problems as our relative had a rare disease and needed specialist care. However, the home listened to us and adjusted their care to his needs. I would very much have like to have sed names of particular staff who shone like stars. However, everyone we dealt with were courtesy, polite, helpful etc etc etc.

I feel mum is always treated with care, dignity and respect at all times. Her room is bright and airy and the community lounge has a lovely mix of sofas, chairs and tables, with easy access to the garden.

Although living with dementia my Mum had been able - with support - to continue living alone until she fell and broke an ankle. When it became apparent that she could no longer live alone safely we needed to find a suitable place for her to move to where she could be comfortable, safe and secure. We found Fairmile Grange. From the first phone call, to a tour at virtually no notice, to Mum moving in we have been impressed by the level of friendliness, care and support shown to her. Her room is nicely located and newly decorated. It wouldn't be fair to highlight individuals, but every member of staff we've met has seemed to know who Mum is and why she's there. There's a plan in place - reviewed regularly - to help with her rehabilitation and everything about the care feels "right". And the fees seem fair. Based on our experience with Mum I'd happily recommend Fairmile Grange as a safe place to provide care to a loved one.

The care and attention my dad David had throughout his time at Olive Tree House has been excellent, I couldn't have asked for better. The help I received has also been excellent with the friendly and family atmosphere of the home. The end-of-life care for Dad and me has been excellent and helping get through this difficult time. I couldn't ask for more. The staff at all levels have been excellent with their help and care for us both. Thanks all.

Our Uncle approaching his 90th Birthday had always been self sufficient until he fell at home. Admitted to Hospital he was moved repeatedly ending up having been in about 6 different Wards. He had the early onset of dementia but was always lucid, his time in Hospital put paid to that when he developed delirium and was treated very poorly.

All this changed when he was admitted to Olive Tree House.

The environment and the people were superb, his dignity was restored and his time there was both enjoyable and interesting. All the staff encountered during his time there were professional and caring and we could not be more grateful that his last few weeks were spent in a Care home that genuinely cares about its residents.

Sadly not all Care homes are the same but Olive Tree House are a fine example of how to do it well and we are very happy to wholeheartedly recommend it.

We found Blossom Field very clean, all the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the staff treat our dad like a family member. The medical team are outstanding, dad's room is cleaned every day. The food is made fresh every day. The outside garden area is amazing. The management team took the time to discuss all of dad's needs with a regular plan and updates. As a family we are very thankful for the help and support the Blossom Field team are providing.

If your loved one is unable to stay independently at home, you would not be dissapointed with St George's!!! Thankful I found you for my dearest mum!!
