I just wanted to say how amazing the management and staff are at Magdalen House. It was my son's 50th birthday and they went above and beyond to make sure he had a very special day. They allowed us as a family to celebrate with him and made us all very welcome. They supplied a lovely afternoon tea and
cake for my son which was really appreciated by all of us and presents from the home. I couldn't wish for a better care home for my son. Thank you everyone.

I cannot recommend Blossom Fields highly enough, it is truly outstanding!
Mum has been a resident for just over 4 years now and, as her needs have increased the care has been adjusted pro actively to ensure all her needs continue to be met.
I have yet to meet a member of staff who doesn't have a smile
on their face! Every staff member, cleaners, kitchen staff, care workers, activity personnel, nursing staff, reception, and management are all approachable & considerate in ensuring Mums happiness & well being is catered for.
I must add a special thank you to Carole who started singing with Mum & taught two lovely care workers, both young men, Hesham & Dilshan the words to some old songs. They now serenade her whilst showering & dressing her. Totally brilliant. Thank you all very, very much.

My Mum has been a resident at St George's for 18 months following 3 strokes and needing peg feeding and all care.
I am a Nurse myself and the standard of care is second to none. I have always been extremely happy that all my Mums care needs are met with such high standards of care and dignity. As
a family we feel very supported by Simon and his team and can not thank everyone enough for allowing us complete peace of mind that Mum could not be cared for so well anywhere else.
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at St Georges Nursing HomeHello,
Thank you for your five star review, my colleagues in St George's will be absolutely thrilled to read it. It means so much to us all, to receive feedback from family members. I feel the care is very good and as a nurse RN I cannot fault how ever the food that you serve is sub optimal and I am unsure of the qualifations of your current chef
He is serving frail elderly patients with complex needs and needs to serve appealing food that meets essential nutriantal requirements
Namely protein carbohydrates and vitamins and minerals unfortunately this is not happening . I have not seen one piece of fresh fruit or even stewed fruit
Please learn what foods go together spaghetti and chips are 2 carbohydrates and don't belong together
The nursing care from HCA sis very caring
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at Olive Tree HouseHello,
Thank you for your feedback. I am really pleased to see you've recognised the good quality of our care, however I am not at all pleased to read the food related comments. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Our chefs are all qualified and we have nutritionally balanced menus to make sure Residents receive not only delicious food but nutritionally balanced as well. I will ask our Food Service Portfolio Leader to review the food service and make sure it is always up to standards. I note also your other ratings and will ask our Manager to review our housekeeping processes also. Whilst I would always rather hear that we're getting everything right, I am very grateful to find out from you what isn't right so we can fix it. Thank you, Helen

One concern seems to be lack of staff - for instance we came here in March 2024 always at 11am patients used to be servced with tea or coffee - not anymore. Also staff would be there to talk to and we were able to talk with them if we had problems - not anymore. Also at lunch times tables would be set
up - not anymore. Today 31/12/2025 I notice the staff had fetched the meals from the kitchen, surely this is not right or fair. One other thing is the amount of food waste there is after every meal I have spoken to assitant manager about this and it would be looked into.

Isobel had a major stroke in February and was severely affected incl loss of swallow and speech. In May she was ready for her discharge from hospital. But not well enough to come home. So she went to St Georges Nursing Home, particularly as they are experienced in "peg" feeding. She enjoyed good care
and kindness and made good progress being able to eat all the food she needs by the end of September, returning to our home early November. All thanks to the nursing and care at St Georges.
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at St Georges Nursing HomeHow wonderful to read that your wife was able to recover and recuperate with us to be able to return home. That's a great success story for everyone involved. St Georges was our first home and has been dear to our hearts ever since (October 2019). We have some lovely colleagues in St Georges, they're very very capable and committed and they're also warm and jolly good fun to spend time with. Mum entered Cherry Blossom in July 2025, the staff welcomed mum to the home and also into their hearts.
All the staff work with care and compassion, I didn't think mum would settle but she did. The standards of care shown towards all the residents is outstanding and we were always welcomed with a
smile. The food was outstanding at all times with beautiful homemade traditional food, the cleanliness also was outstanding throughout the home. This truly is a super care home and don't hesitate to look around if you do find yourself in a position to place a family member there.
I'm truly grateful to all of the staff for the care the chatter and the friendliness shown towards us all. Mum passed away on the 27/10/25 but cherry blossom will remain in our hearts always . Thank you Sue and family xx
