Mum was placed in an interim bed at Cherry Blossom for 3 months. The care she received from manager and the team was absolutely fantastic. They were caring, compassionate and very skilled in working with Mum's complex dementia. My Dad, siblings and I are hugely grateful to all of the staff for the wonderful
care she received here. The staff have created a warm, positive environment throughout the home and are patient and attentive around the clock. The lovely gardens, tasty home cooked food, cinema room and group activities all add to this high quality care home. You can feel assured that your loved ones will be safe and well cared for, and treated with dignity and respect.

My Auntie really didn't want to leave her home and go into a care home, but the staff have helped her to settle really well. They have encouraged her out of her bedroom and she is socialising really well, thus combating the isolation and loneliness she felt previously. The staff are attentive to her
needs and nothing is too much trouble. It is very clean and tidy. She loves sitting in the garden and they always have snacks available including fruit. They have been outstanding at taking my Auntie out including going to church services, which is important for her. We really have nothing to fault + we're so pleased we found this home.

All staff maintain their serenity at all times. They are extremely friendly to all residents, guests and colleagues, emotionally aware and affectionate in an entirely appropriate manner. I'm delighted to entrust my father's care to each and every one of them. The communal spaces are light and airy,
attractively decorated and very comfortable. A wide variety of activities is organised focussing on stimulation, fun, inclusion or the boosting of self-esteem. I appreciate it's an expensive business but prices in this country are, frankly, outrageous. The expression 'fleeced' comes to mind.
Reply from Helen Jones, CEO at The Grove

Hello,Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. My colleagues are exactly the right people to be serving and caring for our residents. We're very fortunate to be working with them, they will be delighted to receive your compliments. With reference to prices, I'm sorry you've used the word 'fleeced' but I understand the feeling behind the word. I can only assure you that we take all possible efforts to minimise any increase to our charges at all times. Our industry has faced some enormous price hikes lately, we're hopeful a period of stabilisation is coming. Notwithstanding that comment, your feedback is very welcome and we're pleased to be serving your Dad and your family. With my best wishes, Helen

The care mum received was superb. I felt that the carers really did care, and they treated mum with the respect, attention to detail, comfort and dignity that a family member would .Due to the policy of not using agency staff, and the regular shift patterns, I got to know the carers and nurses, and
they became familiar faces to mum. Mum was always kept so clean and comfortable. Management were always available- visible and responsive, as were all staff. Daily enrichment activities were varied, imaginative, and really did light up mum's days. The food was delicious- cooked from scratch on site every day, varied and nutritious. Like being in a hotel where nothing is too much trouble. The communal areas are pleasant, clean and bright; the outdoor courtyard is tended by a great gardener. The sight and touch of the plants and flowers was so appreciated by mum. The room was a good size -we could personalise it. We could visit mum any time of day, and for any length of time.

Dad was placed in an interim bed for 8 weeks through June and July 2025. He settled into his spacious room well and was cared for very well by all the staff on the 2nd floor. He enjoyed the freshly prepared meals very much. He was treated with dignity and kindness by the friendly professional staff
and I was always kept informed of any changes with dad in between visits. Cherry Blossom is very well managed, starting with friendly reception staff and is very clean and well maintained throughout. There were regular activities offered and it was a safe and secure environment with door codes etc. We were very happy with dad's stay here.

St Georges Nursing Home

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My mum was a resident at St.Georges for 18 months. She was well looked after. Her room was bright and clean. In her first few months she enjoyed sitting downstairs in the brightly coloured tea room, though not really able to join in with the regular activities. She enjoyed walking around the garden
in the central area of the nursing home. It was lovely for her to get some fresh air in a pretty area. It would be great to have more shrubs and some winter flowering plants. Sadly, mum's dementia progressed quite quickly. We were able to move her to a room nearer the nurses office as she tended to wander around. The carers were very friendly and took the time to talk to us about my mum. I am very happy she the manager there for her last few months before she passed away.
I was much happier being able to communicate with the different levels of staff. And the staff themselves felt more valued since his arrival. Thank you to the staff and other relatives for their kindness.

My Grandad came to live at Blossom Fields at 98 years of age. From the moment he arrived, he was shown such love, care and compassion from every single member of the team. He was made to feel SO welcome that he immediately felt that he was a part of the Blossom Fields family and called it his home.
The care that was provided to him was of a very high standard and he was treated with dignity and respect - always acknowledging him as an individual. The team made it their priority to get to know him on a personal level and learn about his earlier life, his likes and his dislikes.
As family members, we felt this warmth and care too - which was always extended to us on our visits with Grandad. Sadly, Grandad's time at Blossom Fields was not long but we could not have asked for a better home for Grandad and we will always be grateful for the memories that we made together during our time with Grandad at Blossom Fields.

Dad moved from the flats attached to Olive Tree Court for end of life care. The care home is immaculate and the staff are brilliant. They are always happy to answer any questions and very accommodating to dietary requests. I visit almost every day and it is lovely to see familiar carers day after day
rather than a high turnover of staff. Dad is extremely well cared for, his personal hygiene is excellent and the staff extremely friendly to him. It is a calm , relaxed environment with no-one rushing around. Nothing is too much trouble.

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
My dad was in Rose Garden for a period of 5 weeks for assessment on discharge from hospital. Those 5 weeks did his health absolutely no good at all!
Firstly I would say the carer's do a good job but are obviously under staffed there seemed to be on average of 3 carers to a floor of 20 patients 90%
of whom seemed to be bed bound. The nursing care on the other hand is not great!
My dad suffered some sort of episode while in the home & I expressed my concern to the nursing staff over a couple of days to be told his 'obs' were fine. On the 3rd day I ended up having to call the GP that covered the home myself who pescribed antibiotics for him. They also failed to conduct & submit a requested CHC assessment correctly. The food is truly awful & always not very warm. My dad lost 12lbs in a period of 4 weeks so I ended up taking my own food in for him!

I chose to come to Blossom Fields at the start of November 2024 upon recommendation. It was apparent to me that I could not go back home, therefore I liaised with my daughters, and moved into Blossom Fields. When I arrived, right from the very beginning, everyone was very loving and kind, it did feel
strange at first as I had not been in a care setting before. One great thing that did help me was staff giving me time to adjust and regain my independence. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble for staff, I feel comfortable and valued at Blossom Fields. I have everything I need here, there is all the facilities I need here and more! Although I do not go to many activities by choice, I can always see there is a great variety of activities happening. I appreciate the element of choice regarding the activities. Overall I would highly recommend Blossom Fields to anyone who is looking for a place that values and puts residents well being and care at the forefront.

The nurses are very friendly and helpful. They are very professional and are aware of all of my father-in-law's needs and requirements. They encourage him to eat and drink all the appropriate food. They encouraged us to bring his tape-recorders and CD's for him to listen to. They encourage him to go
into the lounge when he is capable of this. Overall, they display great care towards his personal hygiene, eating and drinking and I feel confident that they are caring well for him.
