6mths have now passed since my mother joined the St George's family. I am forever grateful I found them!!! I have just enjoyed my longest break with my family in 2yrs with the knowledge and confidence that mum would be safe and well cared for. Her improvement over the 6mths has been huge! I am not able to fully express my gratitude to Simon and ALL of his incredible staff. Their patience, care and understanding has been immense! Mum's encouraged constantly to enjoy the freedom her wheelchair gives her, a joy to watch. Mum's room is always clean and smelling fresh. The safety of residents is at the top of the list, along with, fun, laughter, constant entertainment, activities abound and wonderful fresh food prepared by the amazing chefs. Always baking a cake for a birthday or special occasion.
If your loved one is unable to stay independently at home, you would not be dissapointed with St George's!!! Thankful I found you for my dearest mum!!

We honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience with Blossom Fields. From the moment my father-in-law arrived, the whole team have been incredibly welcoming, kind and attentive, not only to him but to us as a family.
Moving a loved one into a nursing home is a huge decision, but we knew very quickly that we had made the right one. He has been treated as an individual from day one, with staff taking the time to get to know him, his interests and what matters to him. Within no time at all he was happily involved with the garden and proudly telling everyone he had been made "Head Gardener"! Seeing him feeling useful, valued and part of the community means more to us than I can say.
The standard of the home itself is exceptional, but it is the people who really make Blossom Fields special. Communication has been excellent, his health and mobility needs were assessed immediately, and we have felt reassured that he is safe, cared for and valued.

My aunt has just thoroughly enjoyed having her 100th birthday party at the home, joined by fellow residents, the lovely staff and friends and family. With over 50 people joining in it was a tiring but totally exhilarating day for her. She came out of it exhausted but with hers eyes aflame with joy. This came about, despite her saying she wasn't looking forward to it, due to the friendly cooperation between the management and myself and my wife, and the generosity, endeavour and the great efforts of the staff - care, housekeeping and kitchen staff - to ensure my aunt had a day to remember. They threw themselves into the spirit of the day arranging entertainment, providing wonderful food for all, forming an archway to bring my aunt into the community room, and joining in with the singing and fun with great gusto.
This may have been a one off day, but it exemplifies the care, love and concern shown by the management and staff - a lovely bunch of people with care at their heart.

Mum, was transferred to Cherry Blossom Care Home from Peterborough Hospital, as they needed the bed mum was occupying. She was very well received and all the staff was very caring. The room she was given was very well equipped, light and airy. She was moved nearer to the carers station as mum was very hard of hearing, and virtually blind. They welcomed mum into the daily activities which included games, live entertainment, musical shows, films etc. Mum also went sailing down Ferry Meadows, which she absolutely loved. At 94 years young it was an experience she spoke about numerous times. My wife and I cannot praise everybody enough for all the attention, care and love mum received for her duration of time there.

My grandmother spent the last few months of her life at Olive Tree. All of the staff that I came across were polite and cordial, but there were one or two that went above and beyond for my granny. Liz, the activities coordinator and her helper Carol are fantastic. Carol helped organise a communion for Granny within 24 hours when we found out she was end of life. The nursing team are exemplary, Louise, Pavithra and Laskmi in particular always had a wonderful smile of their faces, no problem or query was too much for the. Furthermore, whilst I didn't interact with him much due to his shift schedule, when I went in to clear her room Ephraim gave me a kind hug and offered his condolences. I cannot sing Olive Tree House's praises any higher. Fantastic, caring, wonderful, kind and damn right lovely. They let us stay with her right to the end through the night. A lovely touch was that they sent us a bouqet of flowers when Granny passed as well.

Overall Experience
The staff are always friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I am always kept informed of any falls or incidents involving mum. I take comfort in knowing mum is safe and well looked after with kindness and dignity.

Thank you to the brilliant staff that are doing an amazing job looking after mum, especially with the extra pressure due to the heatwave we are experiencing now!
Everyone is friendly and caring. We appreciate everything they do.

Review of Olive Tree House from Roger B (Respite Resident) published on 8 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card•
Overall Experience
I had read reviews of Olive Tree House before I came and it exceeded all expectations and in particular the friendly family atmosphere created by the staff. The standard of professional care with regard to medication is exemplary, I would have no reservations to recommend Olive Tree House to others.

My wishes for a care home for my husband were safety and excellent care delivered with kindness, compassion and respect. Fairmile Grange has provided all of these. The home is staffed by a team of dedicated people who clearly have a real understanding of dementia and who are skilled in its management and make it their business to get to know the specific needs of individuals. This is evident not only in the nursing, care staff and well being teams who have the most interaction with residents, but in everybody involved in the running of the home and most definitely in the senior management team. As the wife of a resident I always feel welcome and am kept well informed.
