Blossom Fields

My Dad has lived at Blossom Fields for over two years. I left a review at that time, sharing how wonderful the whole team has been for my dad at this stage of his life. Two years on and my praise for the team, most of who have been a constant alongside Dad and myself, is even stronger. They all keep on caring for my Dad and his well being. My Dad is in safe, skilful and caring hands, and I remain so very very grateful. Thank you to all members of the team.

We found Blossom Field very clean, all the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the staff treat our dad like a family member. The medical team are outstanding, dad's room is cleaned every day. The food is made fresh every day. The outside garden area is amazing. The management team took the time to discuss all of dad's needs with a regular plan and updates. As a family we are very thankful for the help and support the Blossom Field team are providing.

We honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience with Blossom Fields. From the moment my father-in-law arrived, the whole team have been incredibly welcoming, kind and attentive, not only to him but to us as a family.

Moving a loved one into a nursing home is a huge decision, but we knew very quickly that we had made the right one. He has been treated as an individual from day one, with staff taking the time to get to know him, his interests and what matters to him. Within no time at all he was happily involved with the garden and proudly telling everyone he had been made "Head Gardener"! Seeing him feeling useful, valued and part of the community means more to us than I can say.

The standard of the home itself is exceptional, but it is the people who really make Blossom Fields special. Communication has been excellent, his health and mobility needs were assessed immediately, and we have felt reassured that he is safe, cared for and valued.

This may have been a one off day, but it exemplifies the care, love and concern shown by the management and staff - a lovely bunch of people with care at their heart.

Mum came to Blossom Fields as part of a Pathway 3 assessment after a nasty fall and stint in hospital. We visited her on a daily basis, all the staff were lovely, they always had a smile on their face. They looked after mum very well, checked in on her regularly. The chef ordered in Granola for her as that's her choice of breakfast. The room was spacious with a large bathroom. Would highly recommend Blossom Fields.

I must add a special thank you to Carole who started singing with Mum & taught two lovely care workers, both young men, Hesham & Dilshan the words to some old songs. They now serenade her whilst showering & dressing her. Totally brilliant. Thank you all very, very much.

The love and care my Dad recieves is exceptional. We were able to take him to our house for Christmas Day which he enjoyed. However, the love that was shown to him on his return made his eyes light up and his face shone with joy. I am thrilled that he feels so happy, loved and safe here. This is something for me that money can't buy.

It was good to know that Grandma was in very safe hands.

Mum was welcomed from the first day of her arrival by every member of the team. As regular visitors, our family witnessed first hand the kindness and devotion shown to her on a daily basis. Mum adored everyone and loved spending time chatting and laughing with the team who made her feel recognized and special. This meant so much to us as a family knowing that she was surrounded by such an amazing team of professionals. The activities and entertainment are incredible, with arts and crafts, gardening club, field trips, singers and cultural events. The food is excellent, not an easy task when dealing with different dietary requirements. One of the most memorable things which always stood out when visiting was the sound of staff and residents laughing and enjoying their day. This is a testament to the amazing team of professionals that work there. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful our family are to everyone for making mums last weeks so comfortable. Thank you to everyone!

Although my mum has only just moved in, already the care to both her and the family has been amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and they all clearly car about the residents. Mum has come all the way from Nottingham to be closer to her family and the communication with Jude was brilliant.

The care mum received was superb. I felt that the carers really did care, and they treated mum with the respect, attention to detail, comfort and dignity that a family member would .Due to the policy of not using agency staff, and the regular shift patterns, I got to know the carers and nurses, and they became familiar faces to mum. Mum was always kept so clean and comfortable. Management were always available- visible and responsive, as were all staff. Daily enrichment activities were varied, imaginative, and really did light up mum's days. The food was delicious- cooked from scratch on site every day, varied and nutritious. Like being in a hotel where nothing is too much trouble. The communal areas are pleasant, clean and bright; the outdoor courtyard is tended by a great gardener. The sight and touch of the plants and flowers was so appreciated by mum. The room was a good size -we could personalise it. We could visit mum any time of day, and for any length of time.

I would just like to say how pleased I am with the current range of activities available to my mother. Thanks to the enthusiasm of the activities coordinators, she joins in more, and smiles more. We recently attended a local school's student art exhibition, an ideal excursion for her artistic interests. It was well organised and very jolly.

As family members, we felt this warmth and care too - which was always extended to us on our visits with Grandad. Sadly, Grandad's time at Blossom Fields was not long but we could not have asked for a better home for Grandad and we will always be grateful for the memories that we made together during our time with Grandad at Blossom Fields.

I chose to come to Blossom Fields at the start of November 2024 upon recommendation. It was apparent to me that I could not go back home, therefore I liaised with my daughters, and moved into Blossom Fields. When I arrived, right from the very beginning, everyone was very loving and kind, it did feel strange at first as I had not been in a care setting before. One great thing that did help me was staff giving me time to adjust and regain my independence. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble for staff, I feel comfortable and valued at Blossom Fields. I have everything I need here, there is all the facilities I need here and more! Although I do not go to many activities by choice, I can always see there is a great variety of activities happening. I appreciate the element of choice regarding the activities. Overall I would highly recommend Blossom Fields to anyone who is looking for a place that values and puts residents well being and care at the forefront.

Picnic by the pond. We were taken by community bus to a local green space with a large pond. A gazebo, chairs, tables had been set up. Hot and cold drinks were available, with homemade fruity rock cakes. We sat and chatted in the sun and enjoyed the ducks,, geese and goslings. It was a beautiful afternoon, so relaxing. Everything went smoothly because it had been so well planned and the staff worked so well together looking after us, visitors, the logistics, setting up and clearing up. Thank you to all involved.

We joined a picnic at the local pond in Winterbourne the other day and the experience was lovely. A marquee had been set up, tables+chairs had been taken down as well as cold+hot drinks and rock cakes. Transport had been organised and the whole experience was so much fun for residents and family members.
