The care mum received was superb. I felt that the carers really did care, and they treated mum with the respect, attention to detail, comfort and dignity that a family member would .Due to the policy of not using agency staff, and the regular shift patterns, I got to know the carers and nurses, and
they became familiar faces to mum. Mum was always kept so clean and comfortable. Management were always available- visible and responsive, as were all staff. Daily enrichment activities were varied, imaginative, and really did light up mum's days. The food was delicious- cooked from scratch on site every day, varied and nutritious. Like being in a hotel where nothing is too much trouble. The communal areas are pleasant, clean and bright; the outdoor courtyard is tended by a great gardener. The sight and touch of the plants and flowers was so appreciated by mum. The room was a good size -we could personalise it. We could visit mum any time of day, and for any length of time.

I would just like to say how pleased I am with the current range of activities available to my mother. Thanks to the enthusiasm of the activities coordinators, she joins in more, and smiles more. We recently attended a local school's student art exhibition, an ideal excursion for her artistic interests.
It was well organised and very jolly.

My Grandad came to live at Blossom Fields at 98 years of age. From the moment he arrived, he was shown such love, care and compassion from every single member of the team. He was made to feel SO welcome that he immediately felt that he was a part of the Blossom Fields family and called it his home.
The care that was provided to him was of a very high standard and he was treated with dignity and respect - always acknowledging him as an individual. The team made it their priority to get to know him on a personal level and learn about his earlier life, his likes and his dislikes.
As family members, we felt this warmth and care too - which was always extended to us on our visits with Grandad. Sadly, Grandad's time at Blossom Fields was not long but we could not have asked for a better home for Grandad and we will always be grateful for the memories that we made together during our time with Grandad at Blossom Fields.

I chose to come to Blossom Fields at the start of November 2024 upon recommendation. It was apparent to me that I could not go back home, therefore I liaised with my daughters, and moved into Blossom Fields. When I arrived, right from the very beginning, everyone was very loving and kind, it did feel
strange at first as I had not been in a care setting before. One great thing that did help me was staff giving me time to adjust and regain my independence. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble for staff, I feel comfortable and valued at Blossom Fields. I have everything I need here, there is all the facilities I need here and more! Although I do not go to many activities by choice, I can always see there is a great variety of activities happening. I appreciate the element of choice regarding the activities. Overall I would highly recommend Blossom Fields to anyone who is looking for a place that values and puts residents well being and care at the forefront.

Picnic by the pond. We were taken by community bus to a local green space with a large pond. A gazebo, chairs, tables had been set up. Hot and cold drinks were available, with homemade fruity rock cakes. We sat and chatted in the sun and enjoyed the ducks,, geese and goslings. It was a beautiful afternoon,
so relaxing. Everything went smoothly because it had been so well planned and the staff worked so well together looking after us, visitors, the logistics, setting up and clearing up. Thank you to all involved.

We joined a picnic at the local pond in Winterbourne the other day and the experience was lovely. A marquee had been set up, tables+chairs had been taken down as well as cold+hot drinks and rock cakes. Transport had been organised and the whole experience was so much fun for residents and family members.

We could not be happier with the care and support my father has received since he has been residing at Blossom Field. It's been such a big transition from Dad's usual daily life to his new life, he has been treated with nothing but respect. The whole team have been amazing helping to settle Dad into
his new routine, but a massive thanks to three members of staff in particular and also the chefs as the food is delicious!
Dad rates all services excellent!

You hope your parents will always live at home but if a life-changing event occurs and this is not possible, I would definitely recommend Blossom Fields.
Staff are respectful, compassionate, kind and give the time and care needed, which at times have needed flexibility and creativity, to meet individual
needs.
Any questions/queries the family have are listened to, talked through, developing a plan or change of care.
The team of carers are wonderful towards my family member. I can't fault how caring they have been towards my parent, giving peace of mind.
Activities provided are varied to meet everyone's interests and give stimulation.
Meals provided are also varied, presented well, individual dislikes/preferences taken into account. Family members are invited to eat with their relatives which is such an enjoyable experience. Importantly, the food tastes delicious too!
Families are involved, thought about, which is comforting to know when there is an elderly partner still at home.

When faced with the reality that your parent isn't best served by staying in the family home, it's a very difficult time for everyone. We've got all the time in the world to speak with people in this situation so they may gain comfort in the selection and the process. No one knows how to go about moving into a care home and suddenly you need to know all about it! So do talk to us, my colleagues are experts and genuinely want to help. As for having meals with us, our household model is all about making everyone feel more at home and relaxed. We absolutely love it when families join us for breakfast lunch or supper! And the continuation of family and friends interactions in the resident's new home is central to their well-being. The care home in Winterbourne, High Street is excellent, top marks from me, cared for my dad brilliantly. When I get old I'm definitely going there. You could ask anything and they would see to it. Food, if you didn't want what they were giving you they would go out their way and go and do something
else. Staff were so helpful, the receptionist people in the offices, they went up and beyond for anything you needed, they would help you. Every single member I spoke to at the care home and also witnessed them caring for other members that were in the home, they all had the same treatment, went above and beyond.

Staff are very friendly and caring.
Management always ready to help with settling the patient.
Access at weekend can be trying when it takes ages for staff to answer the call to open the door.
Food was very good at first, at the beginning of December, but was poor during the Christmas period.

I have found Blossom Fields to be exemplary in its care of my mum. The staff are always kind and gentle and go out of their way to try to accommodate residents' needs. Mum is never lonely as she loves to sit and listen and watch the staff and other residents as they go about their work and receive visitors
in the lounge. She is frequently taken along to the activity sessions and although she struggles to join in, she is surrounded by laughter and chatter which she loves. Mum is not able to walk but is hoisted into a chair and taken to the lounge daily. This makes her feel included and staff regularly talk to and smile and laugh with Mum as she is with them out there. If I have ever had a concern I have found staff and management willing to listen and try to accommodate in any way they can.

I cannot praise all the staff at Blossom Fields enough normally but this Christmas they have all gone above and beyond! From Father Christmas running reception to the nurses and staff dressing in festive attire. My mum looked fabulous and the atmosphere throughout the home was (as always) warm, homely
and considerate.
A difficult time of the year without your loved ones being at home with you but wonderful to know that the care they continue to receive at Blossom is as near to perfect as you could possibly get. Thank you all so very much!

Dad has been at Blossom Fields for about six weeks so far. The care that he is receiving is excellent. All of the care workers are so lovely and friendly and go out of their way to provide updates on how Dad is doing.
The environment is really nice, clean and well-furnished. The food also looks really
good and care is taken over the presentation.
It's a nice touch that you can hang pictures and photos on the walls to make it more homely.
This was such a difficult decision for us, as far as my dad's care goes, but the management and staff have really helped us and Dad to get used to his new home. As his daughter, it is such a relief to know that he is being looked after so well.

After visiting five homes, we were very pleased to be received with a very professional introduction and after six months, my wife has had very good care for her Lewy body dementia. The staff have been exemplary.

I cannot rate more highly the professional care, consideration and kindness shown to my dad since his arrival at Blossom Fields. From day one the team have welcomed my father (and me!) into their community, at an exceptionally stressful time. Each and every member of the team has been great, and gone
above and beyond, including the leadership team who have been totally open and supportive. I didn't think that the next stage of Dad's life would bring him much joy, but the exceptionally thoughtful, high quality, very human care of the team has brought a smile back to his face. Thank you team Blossom Fields for all you do for my dad, for me and my family.

My father was in the care of Blossom Fields for nine months. The level of care, compassion and professionalism was excellent. The staff are very gentle and patient and are on hand at all times. My father loved the food, especially the daily homemade cakes. The manager and her team go continually to
heights of care that I don't believe are normally experienced. I have nothing but praise for those looking after my father and would happily recommend Blossom Fields to anyone nervous about placing their loved ones in care.

I visit two friends at Blossom Fields and I am always impressed by how well they are both cared for. Speaking to both of them, they say that the staff are very caring and do everything they can to help them. One friend who is unable to stand on his own has a special alarm fitted under his chair seat
and if he starts to wriggle to the end, the alarm is activated and a nurse comes and checks that he is safe. This has happened several times while I have been visiting. My other friend says that the food is very good and plenty of it!

I'm very pleased with the care and support Mum has received at Blossom Fields. Unfortunately, she is too ill to join in with activities but the entertainment lady tries hard to include her.
The quality and choices of meals are good for Mum who is a very "picky" eater.
All the staff are very kind
and help her in every way they can.

My mother has vascular dementia and all the staff are flexible and understanding to her changing needs, making every effort to encourage and involve her when she is keen but equally allowing her extended rests at the times she doesn't. The patio and garden areas are an extra dimension to our ability

I can't find anything we don't like about Blossom. The care and attention to my mum is wonderful. The staff are so caring and helpful. The activities are brilliant, well done to the team, Mum has really responded well to your music and activity sessions e.g, balloon (thank you, to the activity person).
This is both mine and my sister's feelings towards everything you all do for Mum.

Maggie

Maggie Dance

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2022

Maggie joined the care profession in 1997 after having her first child. Having worked previously with horses and in a shoe factory, it was a big career change, but she’s never looked back. Loyal and passionate about caring for others, especially those nearing the latter stages of their lives, she’s committed to helping residents feel completely at home at Blossom Fields through kind and compassionate care. A highlight of her career to date was meeting William and Kate during their tour of the UK to thank carers who had worked through the Covid pandemic.

Jude

Jude Brain

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Starting her career in care 30 years ago, Jude is dedicated to promoting people’s independence and helping them to live their best life. She moved into elderly care from hospital work as she wanted to get to know the people she cared for better - and to be a part of their life journey. People’s needs vary – whether it’s lending a hand or providing a lot of assistance, Jude is committed to doing everything she can to help residents, to understand their wants and needs, and to form a strong bond through caring. From acts as simple as making a resident their favourite drink to helping a family through a bereavement, she’s passionate about her work and proud that so many residents and families speak so warmly about the feeling of “home” they experience at Blossom Fields.

Adrian

Adrian Todoran

Job Title: Clinical Lead

Having trained as a nurse in Romania, Adrian started his career as a care assistant when he came to the UK in 2014.


He joined Blossom Fields in 2016 when he worked his way up to the position of clinical lead. Passionate about delivering outstanding care, he sees the work of a nurse as far more than just a job – rather, a care-centred lifestyle where one thinks like a nurse 24/7.

Rose

Rose Sweeting

Job Title: Activities Coordinator Joined: 2025

Rose has joined Blossom Fields with over six year's experience in the care sector. Moving to the UK just over six months ago from South Africa Rose initially worked in domiciliary care, but she was keen to move into an activities role. Having loved working in activities Rose brings not only experience but also lots of ideas.


Rose has a background in food technology, but after a long successful career she wanted to have a more meaningful role and hasn't looked back since changing careers to the care sector. Rose has really enjoyed getting to know all the Blossom Fields' residents.


Rose's vision for Blossom Fields is to introduce the Namaste approach, as well as broadening the range of activities on offer in the home.


Outside of work Rose loves to walk her German Shepherd Ruby as well spending time with her family including two grown up children.

Raph

Raph

Job Title: Administrator Joined: 2022

After graduating in 2022 from Bournemouth University with a degree in HR Management and Business Raph decided to take some time off, but that didn’t last long, Raph found out about the receptionist position at Blossom Fields and was working there by the end of the year!


Raph’s skills and knowledge led him to become the home’s administrator soon after starting work at Blossom Fields and now he is responsible for The Grove’s administration as well.


Raph finds his role fulfilling and loves working in the care home environment and the values that go with that. Raph works closely with Saba the Blossom Fields’ receptionist to keep the two busy homes in order.


In his free time, Raph enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves being outdoors. Raph greatly enjoys visiting historical sites, history has been a personal passion for as long as he can remember.

Saba

Saba

Job Title: Receptionist Joined: 2023

Saba is the friendly face who welcomes you to Blossom Fields. Saba is the receptionist for the home as well as providing administration support. Saba’s experience is a great asset to the home, she is very efficient which is needed in the busy care home environment.


Saba is currently studying for a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, specialising in software engineering.


This is not Saba’s first-degree path, she began her career in the telecom sector, then graduated in Computer Science, before pursuing a postgraduate degree in Technology Management. This programme started as a master’s degree and eventually led to a PhD, with Saba having her papers published.


Saba took a career break to spend time with her family and still cherishes those special times. When Saba has free time, she is an avid reader including journals and articles from renowned publications, as well as loving cooking and baking.

Paul

Paul Thomas

Job Title: Regional Manager - Western Region Joined: 2025

Paul has joined Allegra Care with 27 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, including working in senior leadership roles for the last 18 years, covering operations, business management and quality assurance. Paul has a real passion for person-centred care and how that is delivered at the highest level.


Paul has worked across a diverse sector over his time in health and social care and brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Regional Manager. Paul believes in integrating real and meaningful values and culture into a service and in doing so, delivering the outcomes for the people we support. Paul goes by the theory of values with no meaning, which has no value.


Outside of work, Paul is the father of three boys and a 2nd degree black belt who teaches Judo.

Catherine

Catherine Crawshaw

Job Title: Regional Resident Liaison Manager – Western Region Joined: 2024

Catherine has worked in sales and marketing her whole career, after graduating with a degree in Textile Management she worked in Corporate Workwear for many years. Catherine’s first role in the care sector was working with a disability charity that ran nursing homes and enablement projects for young adults. While her two children were younger, she joined her husband in his estate agency, but was delighted to return to the care sector in 2020 and now cannot imagine doing anything else.


Catherine’s role with Allegra is to support residents and their families as they explore care options. Working with the teams in the individual homes she ensures that during every stage from initial enquiry through to moving in with us every question is answered, and we offer the reassurance needed for the next chapter in our resident’s life. It is important for our residents to remain part of the community in which will have lived for years, often all their lives, so the other part of this role is connecting with local community groups, charities and organisations.

Catherine has said that working for Allegra with their groundbreaking household model means we are offering a home with compassion and care whilst ensuring residents are retaining their independence and quality of life.


Out of work, Catherine enjoys baking, gardening and walking the family Labrador. The children are older now, but still keep her busy!
