My father has been residing at Blossom Fields for three years now. And I would thoroughly recommend Blossom Fields to anyone who's thinking about choosing a care home for their loved ones or relatives .The place is spotlessly clean and the staff here are so caring, nothing is too much trouble.. This is a well managed care home with the delightful management team of Maggie and Jude at the helm making sure things run smoothly and do a fantastic job here..

If you're thinking about the care home, take a look around Blossom Fields, you will not be disappointed.

Dad has been a resident for 1 1/2 years.
All the staff I have met show empathy, kindness and compassion, alongside a big smile! Care is given in a considerate and respectful manner, taking into account the individual's mood at all times.
There is a 'home from home' feel.It is always clean, tidy and comfortable but more importantly all staff interact with Dad, giving him great care but flexible in approach and time, to meet his individual needs, be it personal hygiene, administration of meditation, support at meal times or involvement in the activities.
Outstanding communication and updates from all staff. Nurses and care staff always give time or reassurance if concerns. The managers have an open door , literally; know the residents and support practically.
Huge and very varied calendar of daily activities, with enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator. My Dad enjoys the music sessions and if we are unable to visit on those days, the staff ensure he is taken along.

Thank you Blossom.

Mum came to Blossom Fields as part of a Pathway 3 assessment after a nasty fall and stint in hospital. We visited her on a daily basis, all the staff were lovely, they always had a smile on their face. They looked after mum very well, checked in on her regularly. The chef ordered in Granola for her as that's her choice of breakfast. The room was spacious with a large bathroom. Would highly recommend Blossom Fields.

I cannot recommend Blossom Fields highly enough, it is truly outstanding!
Mum has been a resident for just over 4 years now and, as her needs have increased the care has been adjusted pro actively to ensure all her needs continue to be met.
I have yet to meet a member of staff who doesn't have a smile on their face! Every staff member, cleaners, kitchen staff, care workers, activity personnel, nursing staff, reception, and management are all approachable & considerate in ensuring Mums happiness & well being is catered for.

I must add a special thank you to Carole who started singing with Mum & taught two lovely care workers, both young men, Hesham & Dilshan the words to some old songs. They now serenade her whilst showering & dressing her. Totally brilliant. Thank you all very, very much.

The love and care my Dad recieves is exceptional. We were able to take him to our house for Christmas Day which he enjoyed. However, the love that was shown to him on his return made his eyes light up and his face shone with joy. I am thrilled that he feels so happy, loved and safe here. This is something for me that money can't buy.

Mum was welcomed from the first day of her arrival by every member of the team. As regular visitors, our family witnessed first hand the kindness and devotion shown to her on a daily basis. Mum adored everyone and loved spending time chatting and laughing with the team who made her feel recognized and special. This meant so much to us as a family knowing that she was surrounded by such an amazing team of professionals. The activities and entertainment are incredible, with arts and crafts, gardening club, field trips, singers and cultural events. The food is excellent, not an easy task when dealing with different dietary requirements. One of the most memorable things which always stood out when visiting was the sound of staff and residents laughing and enjoying their day. This is a testament to the amazing team of professionals that work there. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful our family are to everyone for making mums last weeks so comfortable. Thank you to everyone!

The care mum received was superb. I felt that the carers really did care, and they treated mum with the respect, attention to detail, comfort and dignity that a family member would .Due to the policy of not using agency staff, and the regular shift patterns, I got to know the carers and nurses, and they became familiar faces to mum. Mum was always kept so clean and comfortable. Management were always available- visible and responsive, as were all staff. Daily enrichment activities were varied, imaginative, and really did light up mum's days. The food was delicious- cooked from scratch on site every day, varied and nutritious. Like being in a hotel where nothing is too much trouble. The communal areas are pleasant, clean and bright; the outdoor courtyard is tended by a great gardener. The sight and touch of the plants and flowers was so appreciated by mum. The room was a good size -we could personalise it. We could visit mum any time of day, and for any length of time.

My Grandad came to live at Blossom Fields at 98 years of age. From the moment he arrived, he was shown such love, care and compassion from every single member of the team. He was made to feel SO welcome that he immediately felt that he was a part of the Blossom Fields family and called it his home. The care that was provided to him was of a very high standard and he was treated with dignity and respect - always acknowledging him as an individual. The team made it their priority to get to know him on a personal level and learn about his earlier life, his likes and his dislikes.

As family members, we felt this warmth and care too - which was always extended to us on our visits with Grandad. Sadly, Grandad's time at Blossom Fields was not long but we could not have asked for a better home for Grandad and we will always be grateful for the memories that we made together during our time with Grandad at Blossom Fields.

I chose to come to Blossom Fields at the start of November 2024 upon recommendation. It was apparent to me that I could not go back home, therefore I liaised with my daughters, and moved into Blossom Fields. When I arrived, right from the very beginning, everyone was very loving and kind, it did feel strange at first as I had not been in a care setting before. One great thing that did help me was staff giving me time to adjust and regain my independence. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble for staff, I feel comfortable and valued at Blossom Fields. I have everything I need here, there is all the facilities I need here and more! Although I do not go to many activities by choice, I can always see there is a great variety of activities happening. I appreciate the element of choice regarding the activities. Overall I would highly recommend Blossom Fields to anyone who is looking for a place that values and puts residents well being and care at the forefront.

Picnic by the pond. We were taken by community bus to a local green space with a large pond. A gazebo, chairs, tables had been set up. Hot and cold drinks were available, with homemade fruity rock cakes. We sat and chatted in the sun and enjoyed the ducks,, geese and goslings. It was a beautiful afternoon, so relaxing. Everything went smoothly because it had been so well planned and the staff worked so well together looking after us, visitors, the logistics, setting up and clearing up. Thank you to all involved.

We could not be happier with the care and support my father has received since he has been residing at Blossom Field. It's been such a big transition from Dad's usual daily life to his new life, he has been treated with nothing but respect. The care home in Winterbourne, High Street is excellent, top marks from me, cared for my dad brilliantly. When I get old I'm definitely going there. You could ask anything and they would see to it. Food, if you didn't want what they were giving you they would go out their way and go and do something else. Staff were so helpful, the receptionist people in the offices, they went up and beyond for anything you needed, they would help you. Every single member I spoke to at the care home and also witnessed them caring for other members that were in the home, they all had the same treatment, went above and beyond.

I have found Blossom Fields to be exemplary in its care of my mum. The staff are always kind and gentle and go out of their way to try to accommodate residents' needs. Mum is never lonely as she loves to sit and listen and watch the staff and other residents as they go about their work and receive visitors in the lounge. She is frequently taken along to the activity sessions and although she struggles to join in, she is surrounded by laughter and chatter which she loves. Mum is not able to walk but is hoisted into a chair and taken to the lounge daily. This makes her feel included and staff regularly talk to and smile and laugh with Mum as she is with them out there. If I have ever had a concern I have found staff and management willing to listen and try to accommodate in any way they can.

Dad has been at Blossom Fields for about six weeks so far. The care that he is receiving is excellent. All of the care workers are so lovely and friendly and go out of their way to provide updates on how Dad is doing.
The environment is really nice, clean and well-furnished. The food also looks really good and care is taken over the presentation.
It's a nice touch that you can hang pictures and photos on the walls to make it more homely.

This was such a difficult decision for us, as far as my dad's care goes, but the management and staff have really helped us and Dad to get used to his new home. As his daughter, it is such a relief to know that he is being looked after so well.

Catherine’s role with Allegra is to support residents and their families as they explore care options. Working with the teams in the individual homes she ensures that during every stage from initial enquiry through to moving in with us every question is answered, and we offer the reassurance needed for the next chapter in our resident’s life. It is important for our residents to remain part of the community in which will have lived for years, often all their lives, so the other part of this role is connecting with local community groups, charities and organisations.

Catherine has said that working for Allegra with their groundbreaking household model means we are offering a home with compassion and care whilst ensuring residents are retaining their independence and quality of life.

Out of work, Catherine enjoys baking, gardening and walking the family Labrador. The children are older now, but still keep her busy!
